They went to break at 2:10 today then they came back. Looks like they are having the hosts lead right into the Sportscenters every 20 minutes.

I like it. You can bounce to B&B during the earlier commercials. They are no longer in sync with the Score's clock.

El Justin told us this was happening soon, thought the timing was a bit funky this morning.

Noticed it this AM, both national and local. Interested to see what the timing pattern is as I normally flip around as well (can only take so many Webb Boy comms).

Not being as veteran as others on the board...how often do they change things up?

ESPN has been the same for a long time. Seems like the Score changes every year or so. Just so the PDs can say they did something.

First time I've noticed a timing change. I've listened regularly since 2003.

Maybe I screwed up the term.

What do you call it in the industry Mac?

A "clock" or a "wheel".

Does ESPN call it something different? We know it's no longer "remotes" and "segments".

I want to learn.

Minus the obvious timing changes...Are they cutting the guys off early and coming back late on the terrestrial broadcast?

They don't really need those commercials -- the whole town is still talking about them.

I'm loving the commercials in the middle of the broadcast on the web-stream. I didn't want to hear what Plesac had to say anyways.

Honestly, I just have to know: how many years does 1000 expect it to take to sort out the timing of the commercials on the web-stream? 10? 20? Or is the simply an incorrigible problem?

I grew up in Wheaton, so they are really old by now...same song and jingle...just a new location now.

Put me down as not liking the new "clock management." I was so used to the :15, :35, :50, :55 ending segments that I had somewhat of an idea what time it was without looking at the clock. Now I'm just confused :?.

The biz calls it a clock.

Murph calls it a wheel.

Actually, clock and wheel are both used by those "in the biz."

You'll get used to it.... as we will. It takes only a bit of time.

Last clock change was in 2004/2005, I believe. Back then, the local ESPN 1000 programing would start at :05 or :06 after the hour, and go until :20, then Sportscenter, then break. Come back at :25, go to :40, SC, then break, etc. I liked that one better than the one up until today.

i'm bumping this just because i want to say...

this....BLOWS!

Having the first segment at 15 minutes to me is important to get the rhythm going and this just seems to stifle it. also i can't stand commercials, especially on the radio, and the way the show is cut up now, it feels like there are MORE even if there aren't.

Oh no. I will not live through another message board panic because of timing changes. Didnt we already go through this with B&B? Have we not learned people?

It's fine. With the change and B&B's clock there is more talk and less commercials. For me it's one big MJHBB show with very a small amount of commercials.

For those who like B&B and MJH it's great.

At least the web cast is broadcasting the whole show or so it seems. Before was brutal when it would cut to commerical in the middle of the interview.

Maybe the innumerable screw-ups over the last several years were all part of a grand scheme to lower expectations.

Hehe, when I typed that the "lowered expectations" skit from MadTV popped into my mind.
