Also, the Pakis weren't supposed to use the F-16 there. It was sold to them by Jordan, but under strict conditions that it only be used on anti-terror missions and not vs. India. It's also notable that this F-16, a modern Gen IV fighter, got shot down by a MiG-21, a Vietnam era aircraft. That just goes to show you that once you get WVR, the skill of the pilot can trump the quality of your airframe.
