I respect professional athletes. 99% of them worked their asses off to get where they are at. Much harder than I ever did or would. So to me, they get leeway in a business where emotion can run high

No one deserves respect. People earn respect by their actions and their deeds. Russell Westbrook is a terrific basketball player. One of the best in NBA history. But to set him up as somekind of person to be emulated is ridiculous. Yeah he worked hard but guess what? He achieved most of his success because of his God Given TALENT and instead of realizing that, he wants to mock other people and minimalize them.

You say that he worked much harder than you ever did or would. Maybe so. Maybe not. But that is not what the definer of a person's worth as far as I am concerned. I have a shit load of respect for a kid with little ability who worked his ass off to make a high school team, was a good teammate, hustled, and was a good sport when he competed and yet lost. And I have coached and known a shitload of these kind of players.
