i've watched the first 2 episodes so far. lange is great. the standup scenes in the beginning of the pilot bring back painful memories.

i bet tj miller is that douchey in real life. good god i cannot stand that clown.

you really do feel for pete holmes. he's like a modern day, single version of john ritter.

Good comparison with Ritter. I haven't watched the show but every time I have seen him I couldn't put my finger on who he reminded me of. Thanks.

i'm through 4 episodes. i think the 5th was last night, but i missed it.

it really is great as far as showing the reality of stand up comedy. there are probably still a lot of people out there that think it's a fun little journey. it is an absolute shit show until you actually make it and get your own TV show or becoming a booked touring comic. until then, you are really just passing out "liar flyers" on the streets and beginning for time on stage. not even money. just time.

apatow captured this pretty well in "funny people" before that movie went off the rails. but this show is a lot more grounded.

Just found about this show and started watching it. Just finished episode four. The pilot is pretty terrible but I understand it had to set everything else up. Great show so far.

Very disappointed that HBO canceled Crashing. Thought the show should've gone 1 more season.

give it a shot. It's pretty good.

I was a huge fan of this show initially, particularly when Artie Lange was central. What made it funny was the constant onslaught of comedian after comedian interacting with each other. This season they decided to turn it into a Rom-Com with a lot of sex scenes. That didn't work. Pete Holmes is a solid stand-up and a good actor, hope he finds something else.

My favorite line from the 1st season-from his stand up:
