I've actually become more critical of Thibs than I used to be - he's got issues.

My main point here is not so much Minnesota specifically, but that the Lakers probably don't have enough to compete for a second round appearance in the playoffs, let alone for the WCF or Finals.

Lakers are trash aside from LeBron and he's never proven that this "carry shitty team to playoffs" act can work outside the east. I think it's a moot point because Cousins will join him and even fit hey only wring half a season out of Boogie that'll be enough to push them in, but that team could easily miss the playoffs. Big Baller Brand is kind of a joke and is dwarved by the James Machine, but it's got just enough publicity and exists in the perfect era to be really disruptive to LeBron's image. If that happens it'll be a legendary self destruction that should prove more entertaining than anything LeBron has done on the court in years.

No idea what he's doing here from a competitive standpoint. As currently constructed this team won't even get past Minnesota. Besting GS and Houston is a pipedream as of right now.

Correct, I was wrong. I thought LeBron was better than he actually is. There's no more GOAT conversation to be had.

He should have just signed with Boston or Philly for 12 million a year. He's probably a billionaire and his brand would grow substantially more if he won 3 or 4 more rings.
