Great call, retard.

I think we'll see Bears @Broncos on Thanksgiving night. Nagy vs Fangio.

Either then or it will be a Sunday nighter.

I keep thinking the Bears are overdue to host on Thanksgiving night.

Well, yes and no: with the advent of the third Thanksgiving game, it does feel like the Bears should be in on the spectacle, but figure that one NFC North team already has the early game locked up, and Dallas has the late game, and either Bears-Lions or Bears-Cowboys make good Thanksgiving attractions.

My opinion is that the night game should belong to one of the old-line AFL teams, probably Kansas City or New England. Either one feels like it'd be a good fit for Thanksgiving -- New England for obvious reasons, KC for being generally heartlandy. I'd throw Buffalo in there but one perpetually hopeless Great Lakes team is enough for the day.

Agreed 100%. But I seem to recall the Bears @ Lambeau Thanksgiving night game a few years ago did really well in the ratings. So I think it is only a matter of time before the Bears host.

Right day, wrong time. A big "meh" if its Bears @ Lions again at 11:30 Thanksgiving Day. Maybe Bears @ Broncos the following Thursday?

Quote:
The NFL is still a couple months away from releasing the full 2019 schedule, but bits and pieces are coming out.

One pice: The traditional Detroit and Dallas Thanksgiving games will be the Bears against the Lions and the Dolphins against the Cowboys, according to Sports Business Daily.

This would make it the second straight year that the Lions host the Bears on Thanksgiving. The Lions previously hosted the Vikings for two consecutive Thanksgivings, in 2016 and 2017. It would be the Dolphins’ sixth Thanksgiving visit to Dallas; they’ve previously been there on Thanksgiving in 1973, 1993, 1999, 2003 and 2011. The 1993 Dolphins-Cowboys Thanksgiving game is one of the most famous Thanksgiving games in NFL history, with the Dolphins winning on a last-second field goal after Cowboys defensive lineman Leon Lett fumbled the game away by muffing a blocked field goal.

I really liked them this year on that early game as well. I might have felt different in my days where the night before thanksgiving was the best drinking night of the year

Going to try to make a trip to London happen. And with the news that the Hawks start their season in Prague on October 4 makes me hope the Bears' London game is October 6. Quick googling revealed there are MANY short and inexpensive flights between London and Prague.

If all this does come to pass I will need to get with CHF to learn how to maximize points by connecting in Bangladesh or somewhere.

That sounds like it would be a really fun trip. Prague’s beautiful too.

11-5 would be great, but you have to sweep the division.

I'd like to take my dad there! I can't find anything. I think we'll know when the schedule comes out in a few weeks?

Stay away from Russians.

Packers @Bears on Thursday to start the season.

Quote:
With the Bears and the NFL both celebrating their 100th seasons this year, the league will kick off its 2019 campaign at Soldier Field.

The NFL announced Monday that the Bears will host the Green Bay Packers in the regular-season opener Thursday night, Sept. 5. The two longtime rivals have played 198 games against each other, with the first meeting in 1921.

Those first three games should be interesting -- are they doing one quarter over each of the days?
