No no and no

There's no doubt the Knicks get a top 3 pick in the draft, there's no doubt they can max out 2 stars. L

There's significant doubt they will get a top 3 pick still. Yeah they can get two max stars, and it will probably be Kemba Walker and Jimmy Butler, not KD and Kawhi

At the risk of kicking off some long drawn out thing isn't it a bit sad there so few "The man"s to go around for each team?

Not many people on Earth who can do what guys like LBJ or AD can do. The league needs contraction. That's the only way to resolve the talent gap.

I'd prefer relegation to contraction.

12 team First Conference, 6 get into the playoffs, bottom 2 get relegated. Most national TV games are from this conference. 11 team round robin, 7 games each, 77 game season.

18 team Second Conference, three 6 team pods. 8 games against each team in your pod (40) and 3 games against the rest (36). Three pod winners and wild card each play one playin series and the winners get promoted and make the playoffs.

The 3 worst teams have the same odds for Zion. NBA changed the rules.
And of course the Bulls currently sit 4th. :x

Also, they (currently) have a 26% chance of ending up with the 6th pick vs only an 11% to 12% chance of getting 1,2,3 or 4 (as a stand alone number) Ugh.

Right now the NBA is a terrible league and is likely to contract as this players running the league shit continues. Now we have LoBrawn wanting Davis to come over or he will leave the Lakers. WE are seeing the formation of a super league with 5-6 teams the only ones in the mix every year for a championship. In reality it is more like 2-3 teams.

So, who in the hell is going to lay out the coin to watch the Kings play the T Wolves? Or the Knicks play the Suns? Draft a good player? He's just going to be on your team for a few years before he demands to go elsewhere and a superstar pouts until the kid ends up on his team. NBA basketball sucks.

The league is making more money than it ever has and is likely to expand within the next 10 years.

Top 16 in the league make the playoffs. If one conference has more teams make it than the other, then the majority conference are made the #7 & #8 seeds in the other conference.

As of now, these are the 16 best records in the NBA

Milwaukee
Denver
Golden State
Toronto
Philadelphia
Oklahoma City
Boston
Indiana
Portland
San Antonio
Houston
Utah
LA Clippers
Brooklyn
Los Angeles Lakers
Sacramento

Break them down into their conferences

Milwaukee
Toronto
Philadelphia
Boston
Indiana
Brooklyn
LA Lakers (West)
Sacramento (West)

Denver
Golden State
Oklahoma City
Portland
San Antonio
Houston
Utah
LA Clippers

Porzingis accused of rape. Trade makes a little more sense now.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2640 ... e-new-york

Dallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis is being investigated in New York for an alleged rape that a woman told police took place last year, according to a New York Post report.
The woman told police on Thursday about the alleged attack, according to the Post report, which cited law enforcement sources. The woman reportedly told police that she waited more than a year to come forward because she had discussed getting $68,000 from Porzingis to keep quiet.
Porzingis' attorney, Roland G. Riopelle, denied the allegations and said they had previously referred the case to federal authorities due to the "accuser's extortionate demands."
"We are aware of the complaint that was made against Mr. Porzingis on Friday and unequivocally deny the allegations," Riopelle said. "We made a formal referral to federal law enforcement on Dec. 20, 2018, based on the accuser's extortionate demands. We also alerted the National Basketball Association months ago, and they are aware of the ongoing investigation of the accuser by federal law enforcement. We cannot comment further on an ongoing federal investigation. Please refer any questions to the Federal Bureau of Investigation or the National Basketball Association."
Porzingis was playing for the New York Knicks and had sustained a torn ACL just hours before the alleged attack, which the woman told police happened Feb. 7, 2018, at the Sky building in New York where Porzingis lived.
The woman, who reportedly lived in the same building, said she had accepted an invitation to Porzingis' apartment prior to the alleged attack.
When asked if the Knicks were made aware of the incident, a team spokesperson said, "This is Kristaps' personal matter and not related to the Knicks."
Porzingis was traded to the Mavericks earlier this year, but he has yet to play for them, as he still is recovering from his injury.
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, in an email to the Post, said the team is aware of the accusation, but, "We have been instructed by federal authorities not to comment."
Cuban declined further comment when contacted by ESPN.
An NYPD spokesperson would not confirm the Post report, issuing this statement: "The NYPD takes sexual assault and all rape cases extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors."

You gotta be totally retarded to think this is a credible allegation.

Not if she has text messages discussing all of this.

Sounds like this chick is crazy. The ESPN article on it makes this seem like a totally made up thing. His attorneys had already contacted the Feds about extortion. Some agreement he supposedly signed has his name spelled wrong and not his signature.

yep, and the NBA already released a statement of support for Porzingas which is very odd considering there hasn't been a disposition yet.

Sounds like everyone is agreeing this was a shake down.

One ESPN report has it in part based on her brother's tuition.

Let her be heard, come fully into the light and let's see where this goes. I doubt it'll go well for Miss Wait A Years.
