Carsen Edwards isn’t good. He is what he’s always been, a very streaky shooter. Get off his nuts already. Maybe hang a banner celebrating his 2019 tournament performance... plenty of room available up there in Mackey.

How did Romeo do in the postseason?

I don't get it. He's the best Purdue player since Glenn Robinson. Why can't we think that?

Carsen Edwards is god.

You're just pissed that IU hasn't been relevant for nearly 2 decades.

That’s what I mean. He’s a streaky shooter that shot the lights out for three games. Big fucking deal. He’s not even a first round pick!

In the title game in 2002. They were a number 1 seed in 2013. Made the sweet 16 in 2016.

That’s been during a down period. How’s that 1980 final four appearance doing?

If he’s not a 1st round pick NBA GMs are even dumber than their reputations.

I can safely say that since I was born, IU has won as many championships as Purdue has.

Now tell me, what did IU do with that #1 seed? That 2002 title game means nothing either when the kids you're going to recruit were in diapers then.

Meanwhile we have a squeaky clean program where we have had 2 coaches over a 40 year span and our legendary coach still gets to stick around and cheer the boys on. Where is Bob Knight?

Romeo is a lottery pick. Is he better?

Congrats on your number 1 seed in 2013 though. That had to be pretty cool until the games started.

There really has not been a more crushing defeat in Purdue history. If they can't make it to the Final Four on the back of that performance, hard to see it happening anytime soon.

Turning it over in the final seconds is also part of his performance

Edwards v Romeo in the NBA will be an interesting watch.

Romeo has the potential. But I could see him dropping out of the lottery with the way his year went. Real disappointment.

Edwards has the intangibles. Edwards has the knock of being too small with no real position.

I dont think either is going to be very good in the NBA.

Edwards is what 6'2"? Steph Curry is listed at 6'3". Trae Young is supposedly 6'2" as well.

Edwards seems like he has a similar game to other shoot a lot of threes first point guards.

Everyone seems to love what Romeo will become. I don't think he cared about Indiana at all. Supposedly he would wear Louisville gear around campus. He probably should have still gone there but his dad had a big say in that with his ties to Addidas.

All year I though Edwards was going to be a scoring option off the bench in the NBA. I don't think 4 games should change that but maybe he could be a Ben Gordon type.

Yeah I could see that for Edwards.

Definitely a situation of talent vs heart. Romeo is super talented. Edwards has a ton of heart.

The NBA guys will swoon over Romeos talent.

But if I had to win one game I would take Edwards.

I was just pointing out facts pertaining to the incorrect statement that IU hasn’t been relevant in 20 years.

Yeah he was getting his shot off on DeAndre Hunter who's like a 6'7'' 3 and D guy. He's gonna be good in the NBA.

is he better than Swanigan, consensus 1st team AA and BIG10 POTY. Does that trump Edwards who has made some 2nd team and some 3rd team AA lists over the past 2 years?

The difference is that Edwards is not a PG. He's a 2.

I think it's close but when Edwards was at his best(not just in the NCAA tournament) he dominated a whole game. Swanigan was incredibly consistent and productive but couldn't take over a game like Edwards could.

Now, Edwards had a good amount of struggles too this year so I could get that argument.

It's definitely close and could go either way. I will say that it's a lot easier to dominate a game from the guard spot as opposed to center.

Overall, Edwards was actually a bit of a disappointment this year. He was pre-season favorite for national POTY and ended up not even being the conference POTY or a 1st team AA. His shooting was pretty awful this season (I Know that has to shock FF who only saw him in the tourney shooting well) as he took on more of a role as opposed to last season when he had more help.

I would give it to Swanigan. 1st team AA and BIg10 POTY trumps Edwards and his high volume junior season.
