Agreed. And, IMO, its why Grampa Ross turned them down. Him being a catcher and an "old school" guy, he probably has some of his own ideas on how to manage the team and the clubhouse and doesn't just want to be a gopher for Theo.

I think I had read MLB will be experimenting with allowing the pitcher and catcher to communicate via an Apple Watch to avoid sign stealing (that would be quite the sight), but I can see that quickly turning into a manager or Jed/Theo's nerds sending in signs to both pitcher and catcher.
