Imagine how close the White Sox are now in over-taking the Boston Red Sox in the American League.

This is maybe the worst trade in pro sports history.

The Mets made a far worse trade today.

I mean, I get what you're saying but giving away first-ballot-hall-of-famer Chris Sale for ~*~nothing~*~ is far worse than selling off Kelenic for junk.

Don't you think you have to wait more than a year to declare it so? It would almost be funny if Basabe ends up the best of the lot

This is assuming the good-case scenario with Basabe where turns out to be one of the better 4OF's in the league.

uh... Red Sox won a WS. Sale could die tomorrow and the trade would be no worse than even, from their POV. Unless you disagree that championships are precious

2 WS is greater than 1.

Isn't sale throwing something like 86-90mph fastballs in his two starts this season? I wanna say he had only one strikeout last night against oakland.

Just imagine how this will look next year when Sale's arm fell off and Kopech returns from Tommy John.

Elmhurst Steve and others have been predicting that about Sale since 2013. Pretty sure Boston is more than happy with the trade. That new extension is another story though.
