I was supposed to go to Sunday's game with my wife and my brother.
I'm glad I saved $70 because now I can spend it on some goddamn cyanide and put myself to sleep.

At least when they come home, they will be due for a win.

If they come back to win this game, they'll win the world series. If not...they probably won't.

I think I'm gonna put in "The Mule" Blu-ray we got from Redbox. It can't be any worse than this televised abortion.

Bryant is position player Mark Prior. The similarities are eerie. At least Bryant helped win a World Series.

It is going to be ugly. They deserve it though. I envision quite a few revised W flags with "e suck" added to them.

I figured the Cubs would decline to around a .500ish team this year but this has been an utter collapse to start the season. I saw that the red Sox are down 12-1 right now and their fans are like "naaa we'll be 5-6 by the end of the road trip" even tho they just dropped 175mil on a guy who's barely hitting 90mph this season. I guess that's better than dropping 150mil on a guy who hasn't even hit 90 pitches in a game this season?

I gotta wonder if there's a hangover from the way the Cubs absolutely shit the bed at the end of last season (choking away the division lead to the brewers then losing back to back "win and you're in" games to end the season) -- you know, if this team ever had reasons to doubt itself they sure came true at the end of last year and now they're paramount and once again the scariest part = they stood pat this winter and there's little if any realistic hope of reinforcements coming (especially when you can't even pay them if you got em)

At least bryant's out there striking out and not hitting 30+ HR. prior was in/famous for literally/figuratively throwing in the towel whilst injured

Ever? Yes, many times in New York and Philly

Probably not at Wrigley though.
