...who designed the Harlem avenue Exit Only lane on Eastbound 90. Guaranteed there will be an accident there if there hasn't been already. I'm betting they'll put it back the way it was.

An accident on a major highway?

Bold prediction

Can't be any worse than the Harlam exits on 290.

 I'm not a highway designer, I'm just a user, but I can tell you the length of the Only lane or something is fucking up traffic there and causing jam ups. I'm guessing because people are merging over. It wasn't like this until they did work there recently.

Were you going to Tommy's?

Southbound exit to Cumberland is GLORIOUS.

Feel real old now.

There's a pizza joint on Higgins east of Harlem named Dino's. I used to love their tavern style thin crust pizza (what I think of as the true "Chicago" style) in high school, but I haven't been there in years. Anyone know if it's currently any good? I think it's been owned by the same family since it opened in 1968. I may have to hit it up on my next trip to the city. Feeling very nostalgic.

It was still good last time I had it. Dont overload it with toppings though, 2 max.

His ride is actually an early-mid 90s Town Car. We all saw it at the golf outing a few years ago.

Sausage and onion. Onion has to be sliced paper thin. That's the Chicago way.

Notably, I will amend my order at Candlelite (Rogers Park) since they offer fresh jalapeno as a topping--fantastic triangulated with sausage and onions. Very good cracker-thin crust at Candlelite, btw.

Their thin crust is damn good, but maybe a little overrated. I prefer Suparossa, Armand’s, Pete’s #2, etc.

I enter the 90 eastbound on Canfield, which is always a challenge. And then I’m immediately hit by retards who are confused by the Harlem exit lane. All of this while I’m still half asleep.

The Cumberland southbound exit is indeed glorious. Very scenic.

What is different since they've done the roadwork? Was it not Exit Only previously? I know something's different but I'm not sure exactly what it is. In any case, there's something that's counter-intuitive for the drivers there that's causing a lot of confusion. It was never a problem before they did that roadwork.

Correct, it was exit only. Very cut-and-dry.

The Austin exit only lane on westbound 290 has been causing traffic fuck ups for years now.

You might as well include the Harlem exit for 290 as well. For some reason, maybe I'll google it real quick, but Harlem and Austin are left side exits in both directions, and as Douchebag said, it causes confusion and lots of accidents and close calls. Coming back from O'Hare the other day, I had to let the Uber driver know that Harlem was approaching and to get to the left as the driver was unaware.

The wrong side exits are because of the snootiness of Oak Park.

Learning a lot about Terry's Peep's lately with regards to civic exceptionalism. Very sad.

Regular Reader knows that he’s quoting a William DeVaughn composition, but he’s fucking with my head, as per usual.

I love it when people say that their favorite Curtis Mayfield track is “Be Thankful For What You Got”. Only problem is that it was a #1 hit by a guy whose name is NOT Curtis Mayfield. Last I checked, anyway.

Beyond that, how could your favorite Mayfield track be anything other than "Move On Up"?
