For the 2nd time tonight I must agree with Frank. There are a couple of players who will be brought up soon and the team will be improved to the point of being watchable...ie about 75 wins.

They don't even need to have a terrific 2019 to compete for the AL Central. The Indians have no offense, the Royals are pretending it's 1982 with their speed/SB-oriented-attack (and their bullpen is dreck behind whatever they get out of their rotation) and the Twins are..... Baseball meh-to-shrug? They could end up anywhere from like 70-90 wins.

So yeah, unless the white Sox end up being a pile of utter dogshit they should end up in the division race by default #DontStopNowBoys

I'm encouraged by what I have seen with the batting line-up and a couple of the pitchers. And I can kind of see hope coming down the road at 2nd base and the outfield. And they do play in a weak division. But that all being said. This is still a bad team with a terrible bullpen and many holes in the line-up. It, to me is kind of like a laboratory experiment with the possibility of the entire lab blown up.

They need a couple of outfielders and while Madrigal is probably a year and a half away, I've got a hunch that he will be moved up quickly. I can't wait. The big need, though is starting pitching and that might have to come as a result of a trade. Cease will probably be coming soon but they really need three legit starters to go along with who they currently have. Their end of the rotation guys are awful and Rodon is a middle rotation guy, not a front of the rotation one.

I've got to say, though, that I am not as disgusted as I used to be because I do see a future in what they have done and enjoy watching some of these kids play. When Jimenez figures things out, he is a guy who alone can put people in the seats.

Look at the bright side...

Without the White Sox net loss of approximately 5 games due to the Quintana for Jimenez and Cease swap, the White Sox could have been looking at a loss total only in the 80's this season.

Instead, Jimenez and Cease are helping the rebuild by making sure it extends at least a couple more seasons.

Yep. Jimenez has raised his BA pretty well in the 2nd half with no drop out in home runs. He also, right now, is one of the better mistake hitters around baseball.
