Huh?

Well if allowing 4 ER in 5 innings is what passes for not bad from this guy, bring back Jeff Samardzija .

You want a young guy to build around. Jeff is old. Make an offer for Lopez. Hes a guy who can get that for you for the next 12 years ideally.

At least we have the Bulls getting Zion and the Blackhawks getting some Russian guy no one's ever heard of before to look forward to in October.

Schwarber should have been hit for in that spot. He had no chance. 4 K's tonight, each one looking worse.

Enough with Schwarber. He had another error tonight in left. He has been useless at the plate tonight. He is a bumslayer at this point. He puts one out every now and then but he has some atrocious at bats with RISP. I would rather have Bryant out there with Bote in the lineup.

He was pretty good for the Royals at one point in time.

Another awful Almora at bat. He can go to Iowa at any time. He is a late inning replacement at this point.

Zagunis can go as well. Haven't seen anything good from him. Should have just walked, but swung at a pitch a foot off the plate.

Almora's OPS is .485!!!! They have no one to replace him with now that fellow strikeout king Happ is in AAA. Notice how "bench player" Descalso is leading off and starting damn near every game for Joe.

15 total strikeouts tonight. Brutal.

Well, that was a bad loss. Lots of blown chances. The Pirates were brutal defensively, but the clutch gene is lacking with most of the lineup. It's hard to believe they were averaging over 7 runs a game, most of their lineup is hitting in the low .200's

Pirates were +150 tonight boys, with Darvish on the mound in this cold hope some of you took this opportunity to cash in on a loss.

Last I checked, Happ was 4 for 18 with 7 Ks in the minors.

LaStella and Heyward lighting it up!

Theo and Ricketts look so ridiculous for missing out on some these guys. That Ricketts interview on Monday was embarassing. Never been a fan of that asswipe.

Rubber game tomorrow.

Jay Hey deja Vu. Red-hot last year too during a stretch. Joe: "This is a new swing. He worked so hard" He'll revert back to his old swing and lack of production again like he always does with weak year-end stats.

They should move the game an hour up tonight, it's gonna get crappy by the 7th or 8th inning.

I would have liked to see Darvish get the chance to pitch out of trouble in the 6th.

Yup. He was abysmal last year with runners on. Epstein needs to admit his mistake and move. This guy blew his load against Cleveland and he'll never get back to that. Trade Schwarber for whatever you can get.

This is his 8th season with the team. He is pretty open about a belief he should move every 10. That would put him through 2021.

Rob Manfred has a contract through 2024. I wonder if he would be open to grooming Theo for a few years. It would be good for him to see a labor battle from, nominally, the third party perspective but not be the guy who takes the heat. Then he becomes commissioner in 2025.

this is starting to look more like a team character rather than just a bad stretch.

It’s over.

Just sit back and enjoy it.

Maddon had his charity fundraiser thing last night, and I’m thinking the Cubs didn’t want to launch him before that. He’ll be gone shortly.

They should try and trade Heyward while he's hot.
