If you really don't want to get into drawn-out small talk, just ask them how they feel about Jews. I found out the hard way that it's a conversation killer.

My cousin and I work in the same office and we often don't even say a word to each other when we arrive in the morning. He is also a big proponent of the French leave.

It's much easier to make small talk with other parents. All you have to do is point out things that are wrong with their kid and the conversation flows naturally.

That is the way it should be. Going to the office in the morning sucks, and saying goodbye sucks because someone is likely to drag you into some dumb conversation. I can't even get my coat off or set my computer down without people barging in to ask a question or make stupid small talk. It's almost as if they don't realize that I have important work to do posting pictures of Lauren Southern on the internet.

When I worked at a sanitized soulless corporate behemoth like Weber I wouldn't talk to anybody. Now that I work at a company with 12 other people total including the owner it's a pretty friendly environment and I don't really mind talking to any of the people. It's weird working at a company where you mostly like everyone.

No, that's called a 'whistler post'.

Just asked the girl taking orders outside at Portillo's if it was windy enough for her. Blank stare.

He's just asking what colleges they go to to look through dorm room windows.

Because based on their answer he then knows if he should expect a haircut or a balloon animal.

I hate when someone does that "is it enough for you?" bullshit. My old man used to ask "Think it will rain today?" when its coming down in sheets. Never once did he not get the blank stare.

I usually ask the person if they are aware of the oppression women face in sports media and what they are doing to combat it. Then I ask them for money.
