I get this. The first two years I tried getting into it and could never finish a single episode. Third season, I huff and puff, but agree to watch an episode. The progression of a couple of the characters caught my interest...then they whacked one of them. I was stunned. Don't even remember who it was. I couldn't believe it. I had to start at the beginning and watch it all before continuing. I hadn't ever experienced that type of about face on a TV show (or whatever you want to call Game of Thrones). Usually a bad show remains a bad show. I'll never watch another episode of Walking Dead and will sleep well at night. I would have said the same about this show too and still can't believe how hard I fell for it.

I have never seen an 800 year old church burn down before.
