I think Sam is the stand-in for Martin. Bran is just some weird douchebag who is using his greenseeing abilities to warg his way into the brothels of King's Landings now that he has killed Hodor and there are no more mental challenged minds around for him to rape.

Sam and Bran seem to be one of the show's many pairs of doppelgangers. I guess they're both substitutes for an authorial, "absolute" presence amidst the disorder of history.

Personally, I hope they finish off the Night King portion of the story over the next two episodes (Jon kills him with the help of Ghost and/or Sam) and devote the rest of the series to King's Landing. That's where the more interesting stories are at with a better antagonist plus Cleagnebowl.

I agree. I never really gave a fuck about the Night's Watch and if I wanted to watch a zombie show I'd watch The Walking Dead.

Also, I'm gonna say that Arya will be the one who vanquishes The Mountain, and perhaps she will save The Hound while doing so.

Yes then she kills Cersei disguised as the mountain!

I always thought the northern zombie story was just a plot device to bring the main protagonists together for the march to King's Landing. Especially with the fact that they don't have to kill the army, just one head zombie and boom, everything is done.

If fire kills the dead, can it not kill the night king? +1 on your and JORR'S thoughts.

I could definitely see Beric getting killed and The Hound hesitating and then picking up his flaming sword to kill wights with it.

The time has come for some of these made men to start dying. That's how the show made its bones. It needs to go out that way.

Hear hear. Jamie, Brienne, Beric, the big red head, Davos, the man sans penis, the dude with the bad skin, Theon, one of the Stark girls and Hound can all go once 'the fight' begins. Either Jon Snow or daenarys should go, but probably not both. To 'preserve history' or tap into history I don't see Bran or Sam biting it yet.

Can't Bran teleport himself into the Night King's lair and set him on fire? Who's gonna take down the ice dragon? That thing looks invincible.

It sucks that the battle with the zombies is only gonna take 1 or 2 episodes, but they spent a whole season on the removal of Theon's penis.

This will be one the interesting difference (if) when we get the books, how much time will be devoted to the zombie battle. I also wonder about the ice dragon in the books, will they go that route...or Tyrion as the third Targaryen which the show started to hint at and then went away from.

The last 3 Eyed Raven was content to sit in a fucking tree.

This one travels to the realm of men and announces his presence with authority.

How does Cersei think trying to woo Bronn to her side would work?

I’m terrified it might but know it probably won’t. Dude just wants a castle and hot wife and she can hook him up.

No way does Bronn betray the Imp and his brother. Remember the Imp's immortal words to Bronn, namely, "Remember, Bronn, whatever my sister offers you.....I will double it. The Imp is the guy who knows how the entire game gets played better than anyone still alive. The other wild card in all of this is the fat eunuch. Somehow, his journey awhile back to raise support for the war against the Night King has not been revealed yet. Perhaps he came back with support from the Iron Bank and the bank and its army has double-crossed Cersei and her latest lover?

Tyrion has been written so terribly the past few seasons it's hard to forget how smart he is.

Varys too.

Until the season-six episode “Blood of My Blood,” that is. In that episode, we learned that Benjen Stark was stabbed in the gut with a sword of ice by a White Walker, but the Children of the Forest intervened by shoving a handy blade of dragonglass into his chest to prevent the magic from taking hold.
