I actually worked at that facility in late 90's. Didn't know that he was accused of sexually abusing children.

Those seemed like some shady allegations. I assume the investigation continues even after his death in anticipation of a lawsuit.

The guy did a lot of good in this city.

Yes he did. I had a lot of respect for him and what he did for those kids.

He gave kids from broken homes and impoverished backgrounds a chance to have some semblance of a normal childhood.

From what I knew of him he was a good man. It's one of the primary reasons that I have a profound fondness for Catholic Charities.
