The cross is where the injustice in the world is paid for. It's the Passover Lamb of God forgiving the world through his blood. The good part of Good Friday and that someone else will die for your sins instead of you.

Good part of Good Friday is I get a paid holiday out of it now but reasonable people can disagree on the ultimate benefits of it imo.

When I was younger I did the full on fast. From Sundown Friday till Sunrise Sunday nothing not even water. I would go to mass on the lakefront at sunrise then breakfast. My fat ass could not last 12 hours nowadays.
