I still think Fulmer can be a good pitcher. I like his make-up. Strikes me as a guy who works his ass off to get better. And with the terrible state of the Sox pitching, he's got as good a chance as anyone not named Rodon out there.

He's had plenty of time to find the strike zone. He can't. I don't give a fuck how electric your stuff is, in 2019, guys will wait you out at the plate.

I'd rather have a guy that age with great stuff and problems with his control than a guy with control but no good stuff. If you are going to get major league hitter out most of the time, your stuff better be good. Hitters, for the most part, go up there hacking, especially in the age of the juiced baseball which is major league baseball today.

I don't know if Fulmer will make it but he has good stuff and has a chance of becoming a good pitcher.

The problem is, Fulmer's stuff isn't electric.

Of course he has a chance. Figure it out in Charlotte, if he can. I have no patience for pony league pitchers on my MLB roster. It's just more shortsightedness, just like the Narvaez trade.

Eloy might be hurt after an awkward slide in left field.

Looks to be ok. Seeing a lot of balls in this inning.

Wasting a decent outing by a 4/5 starter.

Interesting article on Beckham in the Athletic. His father in law is former White Sox infielder Scott Fletcher, who is for some reason the Tigers minor league hitting coordinator. That's the only reason Beckham was in Tigers' camp this spring and if he hadn't made the team he says he probably would have retired.

Sounds like a Josh McCown comeback story - from good to shit to meh.

I just disagree. It would be one thing if they had some good established guys on this roster but they do not. This is a kind of lab experiment to me. Let Cooper work with the guy and see if he can tweak his delivery properly. As I see it, they don't have much more in the pipeline to replace him with.

Fulmer should pitch in evey blowout situation, which is pretty much evey other day. Sink or swim time.

Coop worked with him last year to no avail. Listen, this is Fulmer's MO. If he concentrates on throwing strikes, he gets rocked. If he concentrates on spin rate and velocity, he's wild. They've already broke down his mechanics and rebuilt them. This is his 5th year and he's never been good at any professional level other than the rookie league. I don't need to see him, I've seen plenty and he should be in AA fighting for his baseball life.

Yeah this has been sort of a fun ass kicking. Nice to see Abreu and others make their slash lines a little healthier.

That strike zone the first few innings was wild

Four hits including a bomb by McCann in the 4th inning. I really like the guy behind the plate also. That pick-off at 3rd was funny. That O's runner had an adventure on the bases didn't he.  Nice job by the bull pen against a pretty good hitting O's team. Now they have to win the series because it is just one game. :!: :!:

They should offer Keuchel a 3-50$ deal.

This is going swimmingly tonight.

Ivan Nova should be an 8th starter at this point.

If a Chinaman falls in the rice patties and nobody is around, does it make a sound?

The pitching staff remains a disaster. Other than Rodon, no reliable starters. The bullpen is also a mess.
