Wrong action right outcome.

Wrong opinion. Spoken like someone who wasn't watching the game and didn't know how hot Dame was.

I know he was on fire. Listen it was a cool shot and almost every person's dream. And criticism of the shot doesn't matter because it went in and they won and are moving on. I get that. That aside, step back jumpers from half court when better options are available will always be a dumbass thing to do.

What was the better option?

Losing Ed Davis to injury at the end of game 1 really hurt the Nets. They were already pretty thin up front and without Davis pretty much the rest of the series it was all on Jaret Allen to guard Embid. They needed that extra big body to have any shot.

2 minutes left in the 3rd, something an announcer feels compelled to say in 2019: “and nobody is close to a triple double”

That kind of shot is only acceptable if there's less than 5 seconds on the clock and you can't get any closer. Given the time he had he could have definitely got into a higher percentage range for the final shot. What he did that game from 30+ feet out or whatever is an outlier. In the end he won so it doesn't matter. My point is you'd never sanction that as a coach when you're drawing up a play because it's the dumbass thing to do.

He was 5 for 5 on 30+ foot shots in the series and had someone who had more than a half foot on him, a guy who is considered one of the best defenders in the NBA. By your own criteria that was a good shot, by process and result. And it doesn’t even take into the human factor you never include. That was the Dame Game. He’s built an entire career up to making that shot.

As a coach if you’re placing any sanctions on Dame that game you should be fired.

It was a good shot because it went in.

But if they lost that game, part of the narrative would be Lillard settling for a bad shot. They did not need a 3....he had plenty of time to attack or get a closer jumper.

I get what you are saying completely and there is no doubt that was his game.

Good or bad shot, it was a cool playoff moment

If he missed the narrative would have been “how did Portland waste a 47 pt Dame game/ will they ever get over their hump or will they lose another 3-1 series”

Dame was untouchable after that game narrative wise.

I know Golden State can erase a 10 point lead in about a minute, but I'm still greatly enjoying the Clippers making life difficult for them.

I kind of wonder how far the Clippers could have gone if they had kept Harris. I still think it was a brilliant trade for them in the long run but I definitely didn't see them continuing to play at this level without him.

Really Looking for the Raptor Philly Series :bball: Most have the 76ers in the Finals but look out here!I know this ain't the regular season where the 76ers had more turnovers than Pepperidge Farm.Embiid can't miss any games with a knee or back and will have to work harder on both ends of the court against Gasol.Saikim can guard Simmons and Butler and you can't hide JJ on defense. A huge edge for the Toronto bench coaching is even. Raptors in 6 . I know I was mocked " for going out on a limb" by picking all the home teams, but if the Nuggets win all home court teams advance ….enjoy!

What a great game. Old school, low scoring, gritty playoff basketball. Jokic has played the whole 4th quarter.
