The first impulse is to declare her guilty. But what would you do if you had a bunch of cops bullying and accusing you and you really didn't do it? Plus a Mama has to get laid right?

The article is funny. Because the people she talks to/about all seem to think they're so noble and modern, but when the rubber meets the road, all kinds of emotions are being stepped on, and most of them are really just selfish assholes who simply want to fuck whoever they want. The one single broad seems to have a good set-up though.

My wife and I were discussing the article and I came to the conclusion that for all my radical pretensions, I'm really a traditional motherfucker.

this is a classic example of people trying to justify their selfish hedonism; in this case, brooks tries to puff it up with a glorified blog about it. it's well-written enough to be taken seriously on the surface. but when you break down what she's actually saying, she sounds like a spoiled brat that just wants to do what she wants.

i.e. marriage

Seems to be an odd setup from many angles. On the one hand I can see it being a positive being with people in supposedly a zero jealously or hang up situation. On the other hand I have never seen such a situation. There is always some hidden jealousy or hang up.

So then I guess they get left with they have such high desires for sex they don't care. Or they all feel that there is no connection between sex and emotions. It is simply exercise.

The last thing is three lifelong friends that could never find anyone else but were always dandy for each other? Those usually look unwanted though.
