Brie Larson really coming across as a humorless bitch on the press tour for this movie.

I’m starting to believe the rumors MANY of her co stars are not happy with her being vaulted to the front of the MCU going forward.

This clip is very cringey.

Brie Larson can act circles around Scarlet Johansson

Just back from this great awesome movie. Not as bloody as I was led to believe.
End battle was tremendous. Mar-vel was not the focal point.
People complaining about Capt Americas story arc can go fuck themselves. Him and Tony on screen the first couple of times is great , Downey Jr gives it his all and his ending is perfect. Unlike Infinity this is first and foremost an Avengers movie. The other characters are there but it is time for them to shine and show what heroes they are.

This was a clever ad at the intermission:

No spoilers, it was good not great.

I actually think Infinity War was better.

Going again Sunday to take my daughter.

now that they finally finished this behemoth i can say:

it is a satisfying conclusion. but boy is it bloated. i am in the camp of "too much, not enough" as far as how i got emotionally involved in the "avengers" franchise. that is to say, *only* the "avengers" franchise. "the avengers", "age of ultron" and "infinity war/endgame" are just one arc. and its too crowded. there are too many characters, too little screen time for anyone to really hold onto.

however, the resolution is an emotional one...not just because of what happens, but because of how much of a journey you took with the series. i didn't get that into it, but i understood how people were pretty shaken.

the best character duo and moment came from tony stark and his little protege. that was genuinely heartwarming.

as bad of a pun as it is...i LOL @ "asgardians of the galaxy". and to be sure, thor is hilarious in this entry.

it's worth the admission. but look around the audience for the first hour of the film, in which barely anything happens. i heard a lot of impatient huffing.

it didn't need to be 3 hours long. and "infinity war" should've been a half-hour preamble, not an entire movie.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

I enjoyed it.

Satisfying conclusion to this chapter of Marvel stories.

Interested to see how the next phase unfolds.

What are your guys take on Capts resolution? People are saying it suins the entire Verse. I say that it is perfect and if spolier

any two characters deserved a happy ending it was those two. It was one of the two moments that almost had me in tears, the other being how they got the soul stone.

And this doesn't even include this movie. Have to put in in full screen to really see the movies and franchises.

About to see it properly, but I had access to a fairly good copy and did some skimming last night so I've got the outline and I know when to go pee ... when those two go to that place to get that thing and they disagree on how to proceed so the one tries to do it their way but the other decides it'll be done their way ... about 1:48 into the movie, perfect.

I think it's a fair thing to say that if you've seen none of the other moments none of it will make any sense, if you've seen some of the movies - depending on the selection - it'll make more sense ... but they really did some fine fan service by making this movie primarily for the folks that have seen all the movies and invested at least a bit in all the story arcs.

I can go with good not great.

Now, my one personal gripe is ... well, how to say it vaguely ... a movie that long they could've at least given five, maybe ten, minutes' time to ... look in on some folks and their ... 'story'.

Oh, and Hank Pym looked a lot like Azazel as they panned over to him on the phone.

Oh, and what a fun final cameo for Stan.

If I might say .... once you kids have gone to see Endgame, seems to me a re-watch of 'Ultron' might be in order.

I didn’t love the beginning. First hour was long. Ending was great, but I truly feel the movie was to long.

Don,they should do another movie just on those other stories or like in the old days maybe a Comic or book tie in. This was an Avengers movie and it told their story perfect. I liked the Widow/Ronin arc. I don't know what made me laugh more Hulk or Thor. It was great though to see some unusual characters have a dead serious side.

Which folks are you referring? I genuinely don't know.

I also thought really good, not great but overall satisfying conclusion to a 22 movie arc. That's pretty incredible. Definitely curious about next phase and what story arc it will be but I don't think I will be as invested as I have been over the last decade. I mean I am a nerd so I will be watching them all, but something about seeing the Infinity Gauntlet story line play out across movies was something I never thought I would see when I was young and into comic books.

I am gonna guess it revolves around Spiderman and the Sinister 6. With maybe the FF? Someone is gonna have to keep up maintenance on Spiderman's suit. Who better than Reed Richards?

Having re-watched Infinity War yesterday to get ready for Endgame, it's my opinion that Infinity War is the far superior movie. Endgame was okay but kind of a letdown.

I wonder if Julie had an issue with the jokes regarding Captain America's ass. If they made the exact same joke with Brie Larson, they would be absolutely roasted.

In 3 days:

It’s already the 18th highest grossing film of all time.

It’s made more than Civil War’s entire run.

Has surpassed Captain Marvel’s $1.1 billion dollar total so far.

It will prolly surpass Black Panther’s $1.3 billion in the next week.

I mean... Maybe?

I will say I noticed when he was exiting the ship after it was brought back to Earth I had the thought, “Oh shit. He’s acting for real. Not going through the Tony Stark motions.”

He was excellent in this movie. As was Chris Evans.

If Hugh Jackman or Patrick Stewart couldn’t at least get a Golden Globe nod for “Logan” idk if RDJ will be considered for this.
