Brie Larson really coming across as a humorless bitch on the press tour for this movie.

I’m starting to believe the rumors MANY of her co stars are not happy with her being vaulted to the front of the MCU going forward.

This clip is very cringey.

Brie Larson can act circles around Scarlet Johansson

Brie was great in “Room”, but she has zero charisma as a super hero. Admittedly, I haven’t seen CM yet, but a lot of her appearances in this film were cringeworthy.

Say what you want about SJ, but she def understands the charisma factor when it comes to playing Black Widow.

Just back from this great awesome movie. Not as bloody as I was led to believe.
End battle was tremendous. Mar-vel was not the focal point.
People complaining about Capt Americas story arc can go fuck themselves. Him and Tony on screen the first couple of times is great , Downey Jr gives it his all and his ending is perfect. Unlike Infinity this is first and foremost an Avengers movie. The other characters are there but it is time for them to shine and show what heroes they are.

This guy gets it.

I actually think Infinity War was better.

Going again Sunday to take my daughter.

Gotta agree that it was really good just not great.

It was great.

He was snubbed for IM 2 and 3, he deserves it for this one. I was not a big Cap fan till seeing Evans in the role and I thought he would not have been able to pull it off. I am a huge shellhead fan but his ending was not for me the most powerful in the film.It was Widow and Cap, as I said he and Peggy deserved the ending out of everyone in this arc a happy ending. Plus, a somber and serious Rocket was awesome. I am also glad they limited some characters and not let them own the film like we thought.

When this comes out on home view I am gonna watch the entire saga from start to finish in chronological order.
I did though have a tiny bit of disappointment that Deadpool didn't show.

now that they finally finished this behemoth i can say:

it is a satisfying conclusion. but boy is it bloated. i am in the camp of "too much, not enough" as far as how i got emotionally involved in the "avengers" franchise. that is to say, *only* the "avengers" franchise. "the avengers", "age of ultron" and "infinity war/endgame" are just one arc. and its too crowded. there are too many characters, too little screen time for anyone to really hold onto.

however, the resolution is an emotional one...not just because of what happens, but because of how much of a journey you took with the series. i didn't get that into it, but i understood how people were pretty shaken.

the best character duo and moment came from tony stark and his little protege. that was genuinely heartwarming.

as bad of a pun as it is...i LOL @ "asgardians of the galaxy". and to be sure, thor is hilarious in this entry.

it's worth the admission. but look around the audience for the first hour of the film, in which barely anything happens. i heard a lot of impatient huffing.

it didn't need to be 3 hours long. and "infinity war" should've been a half-hour preamble, not an entire movie.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D

You’re my guy, but there was really no way this movie wasn’t going to be bloated.

It reminded me of the last couple issues of a marvel comic crossover event.

Also, without the first hour of the film there is no character development.

I will say this now from now on any post I make in this thread is going to have spoilers

Once again, this was an Avengers movie , not a GoG not a Black Panther movie. There was a reason at the end of Infinity that the original Avengers all survived. There was a reason why Antman played a huge part,he is an Avenger. There is a reason Mar-Vel did not,she is not an Avenger. There is a reason that Draxx didn't,he isn't an Avenger.

Okay now BW/Ronin arc, think back. She said herself she had red in her ledger she had to fix. Ronin lost his family and he coped wit hit by taking out those he deemed who should not have. The build up to their climax was great and fitting, I was shocked by how it ended by knowing what is in the future films.
Knowing who laid down their characters after this film, both I agree with. Both fit. Both showed how they changed and grew from the start of MCU till now.
Steve from a bright eyed idealist who played by the rules, who in the end broke them not to just win but to give himself a full and rich life.
Tony, the self centered egotist who cared only of himself and his own who in the end gave it all up for the rest . When he and Pete had their last scene I honestly thought of Kirk and Spock from Khan.
Those two are t he bedrock of the Avengers and both showed the greatest development through the movies. Sure some will say Thor, and he did evolve . Banner ,they all did yet those two started at polar opposites. and met in the middle and through their sacrifices . Made all they touched better and showed what real heroes are.
Now, Going forward I can not wait to see where they go . Who is going to wear the armor? Who will lead the team? Please ,Lord let Danvers stay in space.

Excelsior!!!!!!!!!!

Prolly cus you popped your cherry with a cam version, and not the theater experience my friend.

Who knows tho? Maybe after I watch it again I’ll like it less as well.

(I’m also monitoring pirated versions until the quality improves for me to watch again.)

Which folks are you referring? I genuinely don't know.

I also thought really good, not great but overall satisfying conclusion to a 22 movie arc. That's pretty incredible. Definitely curious about next phase and what story arc it will be but I don't think I will be as invested as I have been over the last decade. I mean I am a nerd so I will be watching them all, but something about seeing the Infinity Gauntlet story line play out across movies was something I never thought I would see when I was young and into comic books.

Agree with most of this except it wasn’t good. It was great.

If the Asgardians of the Galaxy movie has the green light I have hope for the next phase, but who knows if James Gunn had knowledge of this film’s conclusion when he wrote GOTG 3.

I’m still iffy on Brie Larson leading the next Avengers phase.

Very excited for James Gunn and Taika Waititi’s next marvel projects tho.

I’ll have to rewatch IW for the 5th time to see if I agree with you, but as of now I like Endgame more.

Now that you mention this I wonder if that joke was put in there after the set photos of Brie Larson’s FLAT ass were posted on the internet.

This further makes me believe no one really liked working with her outside of Sam Jackson.

I rented "Revengers: The Final Story" from the RedBox and it was pretty good. Cheaper than the movie theater too.

Dr Strange is the new Iron man. Black Panther is the new Thor. Captain Marvel is the new Captain America in the next phase. Those will be the anchors of the next 1-2 phases of marvel. Everyone else will play the fringe, but this will be the core.

I skimmed it, I didn't watch it (I spent maybe 20-some minutes, most of which was watching the opening ... I stumbled upon the Soulstone scene by chance ... only saw the sweeping shot of the end battle that shows the size and scope of it all ... that's pretty much it).

I like it a more today because I realized I was mistaken about something in the story.

It was good to see what these actors look like without the steroids. Downey has a sufficiently huge ego without also having muscles. It was good to see him return to the whimpy body of Back to School days.

The chances of a gay guy being one of the members of a small grieving help group are very small but there he was, as conspicuous as possible to let us know Marvel is down with the cause.

I was just recovering from getting hit over the head with that when they grouped all the women together on the battle field just to show us how powerful women are...then they lose the glove. GirlPower!

At least we got Tessa Thompson given more unearned screen time in movies.

I was wondering whether they made him look malnourished via CGI or if that was his actual body (same for Thor on the flipside, though I'm thinking that had to be CGI).

All that aside, I liked the movie quite a bit. It was a satisfying end to Avengers.

I don't need Avengers...The Next Generation.

That blue woman moves in a very sexy way. There is just something about the hips where its like she dances across the screen. I'm not afraid to say I'm into the blue.

I’m thinking CGI.

Thor has some prosthetic bodysuit I’m guessing.

I agree, Karen Gillan was great. Was happy to see her with a fairly large role.

Spoiler...

I love Elizabeth Olsen but it's funny how her boobs get pushed up every time she gets ready to shoot her fireballs.

I think thor was some kind of prosthetic. He really only got fat in the belly. Let me tell you from experience, the fat grows everywhere.

He had a fantastic role that he played brilliantly.

Yeah fat Thor was one of the best parts of the movie.
