And why did dragon glass work on the Night King but dragon fire did not?

Yeah, that was confusing.

Exactly. And if the "good guys" finished off the Night King and his hordes and are now moving on to the battle for the Iron Throne/the future of Westeros, I'm not sure why you needed the white walker story line at all. It actually seems like it belongs in a different show. But the more I think about that, the more I think it's not possible. There has to more more to the Night King and his purposes and how Bran fit into that that is yet to be revealed. Otherwise it's just the dumbest excuse in the world to utilize CGI skeletons.

I think if we're just excited about The Hound killing his brother then it just demonstrates the extent to which this show has deteriorated into the dogshit that has been this season. Tune in next time to see if Drogan makes a romantic pass at Ghost. That ought to satisfy some fanboys out there that seem to be directing this season.

Yeah, I’m going to need further closure on that storyline as well.

So when Bran becomes the new Night King in 2 episodes, it will in fact be Jon Snow that has to kill him. Making this episode make more sense.

Who cares about a sword fight. They already fought in season 1 anyway. The only difference is one brother is basically dead and the other is still around because the writers haven't figured out what to do with him.

It almost seems like the only reason the white walker storyline existed was to make the "final" battle for the iron throne more even. If Danny has all three dragons, the Unsullied, the dothraki, and the Starks on her side, the could just waltz into Kings Landing and claim the throne.

Yes.

I would like that too.

The survivors celebrate and march to King's Landing next episode. The following episode is the battle at King's Landing. Team Targaryen wins with some casualties (Tyrion/Jamie). They start to celebrate and the Bran becomes the Night King and raises his arms. The vanquished rise and the dead Lannisters have to fight the Targaryens again.

I don't agree. The writers already provided a narrative for why Dany doesn't just invade King's Landing. This was articulated by Tyrion who said "you don't just want to be Queen of the ashes" when talking Dany out of it.

Whether she was going to attack or defend, she had Cardi outgunned prior to losing two of her three dragons.

Didn’t they show 2 dragons in next week’s preview?

There's that guy on Youtube, bridge4 that posits all kinds of theories. There's been a lot of obvious foreshadowing that Arya will be the one to kill The Mountain and how it will happen. She sails under that giant statue's legs, slides under a cart running from The Waif in Braavos, Syrio Forel advises her she only needs one arm, etc. I would think that she will fight The Mountain- maybe after he kills The Hound- using that stick Gendry made which is similar to how Oberyn fought him. Once she cuts his Achilles tendon and he is on his knees, he will swing his sword cutting off her left arm, but she will drop Needle or the cat's paw dagger into her right hand and shove it right through his eye, sort of a combination of how she killed the Night King and Lyanna Mormont killed the giant. That would be better than The Hound simply killing The Mountain. Arya avenging the death of The Hound who, in spite of their contentious relationship, was really her good friend.

I don’t think the Hound can take his Frankenstein brother at this point.

Was the mountain on Arya’s list?

So, basically we all agree that Rick is wrong and there's a lot more to the Night King's storyline than an undead ice monster that has been vanquished by SuperArya?

I would like there to be.

Last night was very entertaining, and I feel like I’m one of the only people who already had the brightness on their tv turned up enough to see the action.

That being said, I feel like without further exposition in regards to the night king, or a major twist like Peeps has described I will be a little bit let down.
