I kind of have an issue with people over the age of 16 who celebrate their birthday day.

Eh. An informal, "Hey we're going to the bar/ballgame to have a few drinks for X's birthday," is more than acceptable, if not fun sometimes.

Planning your own party or celebrating an entire month is pretty out there.

Agreed. I was once told about someone's friend named "Jane". apparantly, the entire month of January was renamed for her birthday "Jane-u-ary".

My ex-wife didn't try and claim the month, but annoyingly claimed an entire weekend "my birthday weekend", "Mother's Day Weekend".

Your list is pretty reasonable, but to b honest....I'd be fine if I never celebrated a birthday again, so I'd just stop the list at 40 and add age 25, due to that being the age car insurance goes down.

All birthdays are an acceptable excuse for a bar night with the guys if married. Milestone birthdays are an acceptable excuse for a guys trip.

i don't mind that so much as long as its reasonable. i could care less about mine but if it helps people cope with their dreary life and isn't a celebration around what they deserve, who am I to rain on that parade.

people that celebrate the whole month (i know 2 and they are divorced women) are usually miserable the rest of the year as well just for other reasons.

It's a slippery slope to celebrating all year long!

this is how i utilize the birthday. i'm gonna do something like go fish or golf and then wrap up the day with some sort of sex that involves me being able to see my wifes asshole and i'm good.

I don't see a problem with acknowledging one's birthday and maybe having a steak for dinner (and maybe a boom). Or going to a restaurant or whatever. Maybe some porn.
