Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't buy that the Twins are any good.

This team is still an over-all bad team. The starting pitching really sucks and the pitching over-all in the organization sucks. I like the moxie of a lot of those kids but there is no real talent around. The future involves MONEY and Reinny won't pony up.

There is talent. They can hit.

Colome is a piece of shit? Didn't the guy strike out 3-4 hitters? Isn't this guy one of the best relievers in all of baseball?

Do you really think he is one of the best relievers in all of baseball? I don't. And even if he were, I wouldn't have traded for him to close for a 75 win team so you could flip him at the deadline for a player who will never be anywhere near as good as Omar Narvaez.

I get it, Jorr. And I don't really disagree. However, the Sox bullpen was so unbelievably atrocious last year that they had to do something to shore up the back end. Guys like Covey and Minaya coming in to high leverage situations is absolutely a valid reason of why this team lost 100 games last season.

The bullpen is atrocious again this year. I don't even know about the back end because they haven't really gotten to it in critical situations very often. But I'm not excited about Herrera and Colome.

And anyway, they're not really trying to win this season anyway. If they were they would have spent a little money and gotten a real starter or two and a corner outfielder. I think we can imagine a couple starters and an outfielder (not Harper) and how this team would likely be a contender in the Central if they were on the team.

I don't like throwing seasons away. I criticized the Cubs for doing it. Now I'm criticizing the Sox. You may never get another year of Machado/Anderson like this one and it's wasted just like all the great Sale seasons were wasted.

I think those couple starters were supposed to be Kopech and Rodon, possibly Dunning. The corner OF is Eloy.

The rebuild was to acquire young talent and that talent has to stay healthy and start playing to its potential at the big league level.

I don't buy for a minute, Hahn put a team together to tank. On the flip side, I am not saying he put one together to win. And you can not tank if half the league is tanking.

Losing Navarez hasn't been as painful with McCann playing as well as he has been.

Hopefully it continues.

Add in a resurgent Abreu and you really wonder what in the hell Hahn was trying to do with this year? He's just a half assed gm who still hasn't proven that he can draft, or sign ML talent.

I'm not going to overthink why they are bad. They are bad and have been bad for a decade. Now they choose to be bad. They can call me back when they decide they would like to field a competitive team.

I don't watch Sox games right now. I watch a couple of players at bats and a couple of pitchers throw.

Well, the rebuild is in trouble for 3 specific reasons. Kopech, Dunning, and Rodon. I'm still extremely optimistic about the outfield, all 3 positions.

Also puzzled why Abreu wasn't extended over the winter.

Look at how many games they've had against Kansas City, Baltimore, and Detroit. They're bad.

There are probably fans on KC and Detroit message boards excited for the same reason.

Huh? They knew they were getting nothing from Kopech and Dunning this year awhile ago. And this also ignores that Keuchel is still out there.

It’s easy for dumbass young guys to celebrate it. Anyone who’s a fan of teams more than a fan of spreadsheets loathes it.
