I took Honors Algebra/Trigonometry in high school. I had absolutely no clue what was going on. I would get 30% correct on the tests and some of that was just because I guessed right. After the final exam, the teacher, Doc Watson took me aside and asked if I planned on a STEM career (although we didn't use the term "STEM" in those days). I told him I didn't. He said, "Okay, then I'm going to pass you with a D. If you were going into a math or science field I would have failed you since you should know this stuff. Please promise me you will never take another math class again." Of course I agreed. (I think I did have to take one or two bonehead math classes at U of I though.) I was relieved that I wasn't going to summer school. And thank god that gambling only involves basic math/percentages.

I withdrew from Physics III and ended up taking it for summer school after getting a 29 on the first exam. That class was super fucking difficult.

I got a "D" in a college class about the European Union. Looking back on it, it's one of my proudest accomplishments.

my math teacher told my parents at conferences in the second semester of senior year that I had the worst case of senioritis he had ever seen. He was going to pass me but I didn't deserve it.

Thinking on it now, why would they have cared enough to go to conferences for a second semester senior?

I ended up getting a D in the class but I once got a 12% on a multiple choice test with only 5 options each.

I bet I failed or was kicked out of more classes than anyone here.

By my count, I have at least 10 F's on my resume including failing gym class one semester in high school.

They're smarter than you are. They know more statutes. They went to better law schools. They got better grades than you did. They're aren't fucking around on message boards like you do, but remember this... you are JEWISH!

I honestly can't remember if I got a d or an f in a linear algebra class. I started out really strong and hit a massive wall mid semester. Looking back on it, that was also the most useless class I ever took.

I took a driver's education class to get out of some tickets. A self important instructor kept calling a driver's license an operators license. I told him an operators license is for heavy equipment such as backhoes. I only did this because he constantly acted like driving a car was rocket surgery and so the terms he used had to fit into his narrative. It bugged the shit out of me and I let him know about it every now and then. He flunked me but it didn't matter. You didn't have to pass his "operators" class, just complete it.

Yeah, I was a prick back then with little self awareness.

I took Driver's Ed in the summer at Lane because Gordon didn't offer it. If you did something really reckless or stupid they had a disconnected steering wheel and they made you do a lap around the range holding it at 10-2 as if you were driving.

I didn't fail any classes in law school, but I did manage to graduate dead last in my class. It was a goal I had from day one and it wasn't easy to accomplish. But I passed the Bar in one shot unlike a lot of people I know. I also studied more for that exam than anyone I know, but I had to. Most of that shit was first impression.

I had this hardass dbag gym teacher and I used to screw around in the class all the time and he failed me for it. ended up having to take 2 gym classes one semester senior year, didn't get a lunch period that semester.

I also failed jewelry making class in summer school, but that was because I got expelled from summer school halfway through.

Between the LSAT and the bar exam, I probably saw 6-8 people so nerve wracked that they got up and walked out before the tests started. Of course during the initial writing sample they requested that we had to write a word beginning with the letter q in cursive. I'd forgotten how, laughed out loud and figured what the fuck and went on with the two days of hell.

I'm going to guess that shakes used "Do you know who my dad is?" more than a few times in law school.

I flunked out of College of DuPage, that's tough to top. They have some weird thing where if you sign up for classes and never go, you get an F, what the hell is that? Easier back then when it was $18 a credit hour than now when it's $136.

I did. Used to tell people that the only reason I got into law school is because my dad donated a lot of money. But, then I saw the DePaul magazine where it lists all the donors and my dad was listed in the $500 category. That ruined that theory, not exactly Lori Loughlin level. But, then again it is DePaul.

They did the same thing to me when I took Driver's Ed at Taft.

all I remember about the LSAT is I took it at Northwestern downtown and I got 2 parking tickets while I was in there. Now that you mention it I do vaguely remember some people giving up and walking out halfway through it.

The Bar was different, you kinda knew what to expect. That said, I was surprised by the multiple choice. I was told to expect 2/4 of the answer choices to seem correct, but I felt like all 4 answers made sense for just about every question. On the other hand, I felt like I essay portion was a total cake walk. Actually got lucky cause I took West for Bar review instead of the more popular Barbri. I'd say it was like a 90/10% split. Then we get to the essay exam and later found out one of the questions wasn't covered in Barbri, but we covered it in West.

Took the Bar at Loyola and then after walked down to the lake and met a couple buddies who were waiting to pick me up on jet skiis. Threw my book bag with all my study materials into Lake Michigan as I was trying to throw it to the jet ski. So figured I better pass it at that point.

Did they change the scoring format of the LSATs at some point? I've been watching the show Suits, and they were talking about 170-175 being a really good score. I took the LSAT 35 years ago (but didn't end up going to law school) and think my score was like 45.

All I really remember about the bar review classes were how effective they were. They really hammered brevity, so much so I kept wondering why so many people were filling 6-7 blue books per session. I don't even remember a multiple choice section. But of course in my rush to decompress after the test, the first two days are also lost to time as well.

Yeah it went to a 180 pt scale awhile back.

And you beat my LSAT by a couple points. That was actually a fun test, except for the writing sample off of an horrifically boring biological journal piece.

I flunked a lot of them in college, but I plead insanity.

JORR and dolphin's stories from high school sound familiar.
