There are only two things about this situation that can be true

1. The guy is a racist who made a racist hand gesture behind a black man on TV or

If he doesn't come out, the Cubs were right. If he does, the Cubs and media owe this man an apology.

Let's say the Cubs fucked up and this guy is totally innocent of racist intent. Can there be a defamation suit if he was not actually outed by the Cubs?
