Unlike you I don’t dislike either player. I’ve always said I’d rather have Jokic due to his talent and availability. But I love watching Embiid when he’s actually engaged. You have no use for Embiid and that's fine. Doesn't mean he isn't better. The constant need to try and convince everyone that he isn't only means that he is.

I have sort of moved on as its pretty much established at this point.

Jokic will never be good defensively. The announcers were even cracking on how teams are relentlessly attacking him in the playoffs. He also isn't the low post player that Embiid is.

He is a great passer. Embiid is better everywhere else plus he is much more athletic.

In the past 4 games alone Embiid is a +73. That even as he hasn't played all that well. Best on the team. That's impact.


All of the "pussy" stuff is for the birds. That guy competes. If he says he is hurt he's hurt. Truth is you have been looking for him to flop every step of the way and it hasn't happened.

Embiid is a helluva defense player to go along with elite level offense and rebounding. He is as complete a player as the league has seen over the past 20-30 years. Actually easily in the conversation for most talented big that the league has seen.

He more than any other player makes Philly relevant. Not Butler. Not Simmons. Not anyone.

He’s not the best center in the league right now. His shot selection is terrible, he can’t shoot from deep, he has zero durability, his handles aren’t anything exceptional even for a big guy. This is a fucking crazy statement.

Again you are basing this on one playoff series. He dominated against Brooklyn. All of this selective parsing is worthless because you lack consistency.

Donovan Mitchell was by far the worse of all of the so called good players during the playoffs and you focused all your attention on guys like Westbrook and Embiid.


Embiid hasn't been nearly as bad and bite me with the Young player garbage. Embiid's a young player and I never use that excuse. You also never give him the benefit of the doubt.

They are still playing and for all the terrible playing he still makes them better. That's greatness.

Small sample size and it's not like Jokic is dominating. He is simply playing a little better. Nothing major.

Aldridge was locking up and very much outplaying Jokic in the first series. They had to double team Aldridge.

Embiid double teams no one. That is the difference.

Giannis isn't a center you dumbass. None of the guys you named are more talented than Embiid either. Shaq couldn't shoot or handle like Embiid. Nor was he the defensive player that Embiid happens to be.

Duncan wasn't as athletic nor did he shoot the 3. Kareem didn't shoot threes or handle like Embiid.
