The bullpen is atrocious again this year. I don't even know about the back end because they haven't really gotten to it in critical situations very often. But I'm not excited about Herrera and Colome.

And anyway, they're not really trying to win this season anyway. If they were they would have spent a little money and gotten a real starter or two and a corner outfielder. I think we can imagine a couple starters and an outfielder (not Harper) and how this team would likely be a contender in the Central if they were on the team.

I don't like throwing seasons away. I criticized the Cubs for doing it. Now I'm criticizing the Sox. You may never get another year of Machado/Anderson like this one and it's wasted just like all the great Sale seasons were wasted.

Losing Navarez hasn't been as painful with McCann playing as well as he has been.

Herrera and Colome are two of maybe 4-5 decent pitchers on the entire team. They have done their job. I don't like throwing seasons away either BTW. And I am on record clearly that it is their cheap assed owner that is the major problem on the team. In fact your post pretty much is a carbon copy of my opinion going into this season. As for Moncada and Anderson, they are All-star caliber players right now and that is not going to change barring injury. Their big weaknesses are starting pitching and the outfield and that is not going to improve much as long as Reinsdork is in charge and Renteria is their manager. Both are the worst in all of baseball in their respective roles.

Nice line-up by the worst manager in all of major league baseball. When your 4-5-6 hitters are hitting a collective .180 or so pull the fucking plug on the asshole making the line-up card. Rodon was never an ace. Never won double digit games or made 30 starts in a season. He showed flashes of having the talent to possibly become one, but he was never an ace at the MLB level. I will count on him for nothing until he proves otherwise at this point.
