Give Vince Gilligan and the crucial actors left a blank check to make season 9 and fix this fucking mess.

He is struggling with Better Call Saul now.

Probably not. That show has been excellent start to finish so far

The last season was average at best. The Jimmy-Chuck story was quality but the rest hasn't been great. We are just desperate for more content so we pretend like Mike hanging out with Germans digging holes is great television.

I disagree with every word of that. Who is desperate for good content in our current environment? Whoever is is doing 2019 wrong.

Breaking Bad was mostly great though being critical it had flaws. We are desperate for more so we accept the average storylines in Better Call Saul outside of Jimmy and Chuck.

It is ok. I'm already excited for the GoT spin offs. I hope they do all three of the remaining ones. I'm excited for a potential new Matrix movie too.

Most people don’t consider BCS average though.

The Jimmy-Chuck stuff was great. That is over though. Mike digs a hole with Germans and Nacho switched some pills while Jimmy resold cell phones was a big downgrade but that is for another thread.

It was all great. Nacho and Mike are great. The Howard stuff was great. Kim’s storyline is every bit as good as Jimmy’s. There’s a reason season 4 was rated as high as it was critically while season 8 of GOT has been pretty universally panned.

Kim was written horribly last season. Howard had a few good scenes piggybacking off Jimmy and Chuck. Mike was useless last season.

Sure, that’s one man’s opinion. Like I said, there’s a reason it was a critical success unlike this season of GOT. Writing matters and the writing is excellent on that show. I know you’re more of an action junkie so I can see why it’s not a great show for you.

Don't get me wrong. I liked it overall but it is a big downgrade from Brealing Bad now and Jimmy-Chuck was the only great storyline to come from it. Hopefully the end of Kim is worth it.

I respect your opinion. It’s suvjective so nobody can be right or wrong here. Some folks might argue season 2 of True Detective is great.

The critical consensus of season 4 of BCS and season of 8 of GOT is worlds apart though.

GoT was critically acclaimed for a very long time too even season 7.

Correct. It’s been a very good show for a long time. I think it noticeably fell off last season and this season is worse. Most people seem to disagree with me last season and agree with me this season. That’s how it goes sometimes.

Seven seven seemed fine because no one expected what season seven set up would be so poorly executed. People have written better posts on this board than the scripts for these episodes

I think that Dany is going to give Drogon the order to fry Jon and Drogon won't because he knows that Jon is really a Targarian king. Jon will then take Drogon and give up his throne and go find his Wilding buddies. Who kills Dany or if she kills herself is another matter. My guess is that it will be a disguised Arya. with the face of Grey Worm?

I also think that Varys letters will have included one to Sansa and that Sansa will lead an army which includes the Knights of the Vale that will win the battle against Grey Worm and the Dothraki. I wouldn't be surprised also if the Iron Bank send the dreaded elephants to help crush Dany's forces. This might bring Theon's sister back into the story because they are going to need ships to carry the soldiers.

At the end of the show, It will be Sansa and the Imp who will marry and run the world sort of like King Arthur and Guenivere with Bronn as the Hand of the King or FIRST KNIGHT. :bom: :bom: :bom:

I don't think there's simply enough time for a battle. I think there's gonna be one-off skirmishes (def Jon vs Grey Worm) and a lotta implied and actual violence from Dany. The Starks and Tyrion will be under siege for sure. Bron may redeem himself by helping Tyrion.

That is why I think that Sansa and the north along with the Wildings and the Iron Borne will commit to taking Dany down. To me, there almost has to be a battle. There are still a lot of armed soldiers and sailors in both armies. A key to me is what the Drogon does? Another point. Whatever happened to that precious stone that the Red Witch left on the ground? Can the LORD OF LIGHT have another Witch at his offing? Perhaps the Lord OF Light will be somehow able to take out the dragon and his fire.

Bruh, they have like 90 minutes. Think about it. In those 90 minutes they have to wrap up for good the following issues:

Dany vs Jon
Dany vs Drogan
Arya vs Dany
Dany vs Sansa
Tyrion vs Dany
Tyrion vs Bron
Kings Landing vs Dany
Grey Worm vs Jon
Varys' letters
Jon vs Dany's army
Bran finally doing something
The fate of Dany
The fate of Jon
The Iron Throne

Possible:
Gendry betraying Dany by protecting Arya/the Starks
Brienne doing something
Podrick
Yara

So if they can fit in more wide-ranging battle scenes in the middle of all that then more power to them. Idk though.

So, you are saying that there are a lot of holes that need filling? 8) 8) 8) You may be right. I say, though, that the two armies will face off with each other and Jon and Dany must come to a reckoning at the head of their two armies. Perhaps, the Imp will negotiate the peace saving a further destruction. The key once again is what is going to happen to Drogon. What if Arya comes back with the Red Witch's charm and shuts Drogon down? The FIRE use by the Lord of Light has been used heavily in both the books and this series. Maybe the LoL and Arya can shut Drogon down?

I don't think the central question is going to be about shutting Drogan down. I think your idea about maybe Drogan refusing to incinerate Jon is a plausible one. Either way I think the Drogan issue will be settled quickly, though that doesn't mean it will be settled to most people's satisfaction. The most important question of course is some combination of what happens to Jon/Dany plus who sits on the throne. The Sansa, Arya, Tyrion, Jon, and Dany storylines must soak up about like...75% of the episode. If that doesn't happen then I'm going to write about this episode in Jbill's "I've lost faith in humanity" thread.

Seven seven seemed fine because no one expected what season seven set up would be so poorly executed. People have written better posts on this board than the scripts for these episodes

Can't wait for tomorrow!

Idk though.

What’s Dany vs Drogon?

Also, LOL if you think there won’t be a shitload of loose ends left.
