This is tremendously awful. Nova’s ERA now stands at 7.42, WHIP at 1.80. He got lit up twice by the Orioles, for Christ’s sake. I don’t understand what the problem is because his velocity is at 93-94, which is consistent with what he was doing in Pittsburgh.

Tilson and Cordell both look good in the field and light years ahead of Engel at the plate. Engel had an MLB career based on their injuries. I'm glad he got enough time for a pension.

I'm so happy Adam Engel is gone. How long does a man have to hit .161 before he's shown the door? When Jimenez comes back one has to imagine that Delmonico is gone. Also, at some point, Jon Jay is going to return to the land of the living. It seems like the Sox want to take a closer look at Cordell then they do Tilson, so it's my guess Tilson is gone at that point.

If I never see Nova pitch again, it will be too soon. He needs to be given his release right away. Why is this guy even on the roster? Looking at this guy pitch was, for me, a former pitcher and a pitching coach, painful to watch. Did you see what this guy looked like? He looked like he was fucking DYING out there. Virtually every fucking hitter went to a full count. You could tell that McCann was pissed catching him because he never hit the glove.

So, folks, I will bring up again my point that the Sox should shit can guys like Nova and give the ball to young pitchers to trot out their stuff and either sink or swim accordingly. They are going nowhere as a team this year but should try these guys out. YEah, some of these guys may be rushed but so what? If some kid who was drafted in the 10th round or later figures how to get hitter out, why not give the kid a chance?

They certainly are totally different players, Cordell and Tilson. I like both and think that they both have a decent chance. What I like about Cordell is his long ball potential. Right now he is just missing on pitches that with a little adjustment could be home-runs and that, I think, is what the coaching staff sees. Plus he is a very good outfielder and has excellent speed. Tilson is a smaller guy and will have to hit for average and get on base. In the era of the juiced ball, I think that he will have a more difficult path to making it on a roster.

Pretty good outing by Lopez today. 1-1 in the 7th.

His problem is that he doesn't use his fastball enough to get ahead and instead throws a lot of breaking pitches which they lay off of or hangs and then throws a fastball which they sit on. If he gets his breaking stuff over quickly he is decent but otherwise he is a sitting duck as a pitcher.

I think that Jimenez will be the better player all around. Vlad will probably have a good career because of his bat speed but I think that Jimenez has the better swing and is the better athlete.

I'd go as far as to say that I think Vlad Jr. will be the better all around hitter out of the two. Remember that "wide load" Tony Gwynn hit something like .372+ during a time in his career when bleacher bums would heckle him by giving him directions to the nearest KFC from Wrigley Field (still the best heckling I've ever heard in my life tbh)

Well. We will see. I gotta wonder if Vlad Jr. won't have some major hammy issues down the road.

I'm telling you. I am beginning to think that this jag-off managing the White Sox is either biased toward Hispanics or the most stupid manager of all time or both. When you have two massive hunks of blubber hitting .170 IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR FUCKING LINE-UP you do not deserve to be a little league manager yet alone a major league manager. HE can spit seeds in the dugout with the best of them, though, eh?

Hahn needs to man up and do something about Ricky the Raccoon. He needs to can his sorry ass. Bring Visquel up to manage and cut the two useless whales in the middle of the fucking line-up.

Sox are going to see if it's possible to lose by a million, or win 2 of 3 from the Astros.

I would agree. If I am Hahn, I am getting rid of atleast Alonzo and replacing him with Collins at this point.

Alonso has an option for next year that kicks in after 550 AB. I imagine at around 300 we will see him released.

I know I don't want to see 300 ABs. I've seen enough. Statistically, he's worth less than a replacement player. So replace him. Pretty simple decision

If the White Sox hope to sign Manny Machado in 2029, you might want to treat his brother in law better than that!

Well, now we know there is no way he is getting to 550.

Wrong. Jimenez will hit and hit for power and he has a good arm. But he does not run very well and is a poor outfielder. Takes horrible routes on fly balls.

He’s such a stud...27 swings and misses so far (out of 80 pitches).

He is a DH, imo.
