In the spinoff, Jon Snow turns the land beyond the wall into an adult theme park called White World. Wealthy tourists from the six kingdoms pay to live in caves, battle against roaming hordes of white walkers (impersonated by freefolk men in costume), and ravage wildling babes.

Well, there was the scene where Tywin asked Tommen what makes a good king and the answer was "wisdom". Who in Westeros has more wisdom than Bran?

In this case it certainly is a nitpick. It's clear that Jon Snow has been in jail for a while. They marched with an army as soon as they found out that their brother was facing almost certain death.

I understand other times they did that but the writers specifically went out of their way in this one to make it clear and you still get the "Why didn't we see Bran sitting on a horse on his way to Kings Landing?".

Yeah. I clarified my position. It wasn’t an issue for me in this episode but it IS an issue on the show.

My biggest nitpick with the council of nobles scene was that there were people there that shouldn’t have been. The only major houses are Stark, Tully, Arryn, Greyjoy, Lannister, Tyrell, Baratheon, Martell. Only those 8 should have a vote. Brienne of Tarth? House Tarly? Sam is t even a fucking Tarly anymore. He’s either a maester or in the nights watch and either way you give up your family name/rights.

Why wouldn't Sam be the leader of House Tarly? He is the only male descendent of his father, right? We never learned anything of what houses are even there anymore as in Tully, Tyrell, Baratheon, Frey?

I explained in my post why he isnt a Tarly.

I guess everyone is on board with this being an unbelievably horrible season eight except for Rick? Even perpetually optimistic/cheery JBills seems to be hating on this abomination of a season. When will Rick see the light?

Rick thinks 7 days at Disney World makes the best memories. Of course he thought poorly thought out but glossy bullshit is quality.

No you didn't. Jon Snow was exiled to the Nights Watch yet became the King of the North. Tarly was kicked out by his old man to the Night's watch yet became a "maester" but never lost his last name did he? Clearly Samwell was the only male descendent of a pretty powerful house and a clear power guy in the world. He deserved to be on that council.

Who sent the group text to Edmure, Sam, Brienne, Robyn, etc., telling them to come to KL anyway? A Dothraki soldier gone rogue?

Varys sent ravens. That's one of the more believable things.

Probably quicker to send them to Essos.

Second Sons could use some new recruits.

It is a failing of the writers but there really are a lot of negative implications as to Bran being the King that if it had been done better it would have been a pretty dark ending to the show.

Without reading the books, from what I understand, Bran has in effect been infected by the three eyed raven, who is a Targaryen from a long time ago. Bran even tells everyone that he isn't really the same person any more though some part of Bran still exists in him. He then aids in and lets all of these things happen knowing that all the death and betrayal gets him to be the king. He let's Kings Landing be destroyed. He lets the whole Night King storyline play out. He lets Jon Snow be exiled though Jon Snow seemed fine with it too. The fact that he was so blunt and honest that he knew everything that happened would eventually give him the ultimate power in the 6 kingdoms is pretty scary given what he could do in the future. I could almost see him going out and looking for Drogon as yet another attempt at him to build his power since we know he can warg into things.

Now, obviously this is way too much guessing to give credit to the writers for this but it actually is pretty interesting. If the books are ever finished, I wouldn't be shocked if they have the same ending with it being clear that Bran is the true bad guy.

If he spends his time worging and going into the past and leaves Tyrion to run the realm, what power does he have? This would almost be like having Little Finger be an asexual and running a brothel.

He doesn't have to do that. He didn't do that during this season outside of whatever he was doing to convince the Night King to come kill him. If he can take over Drogon then he has a lot of power.

all those other projects lead me to assume its going to once again be a while. meanwhile, he's also trying to write all the back history of westoros as well. Fire and Blood was pretty snoozy.

House Tarly becomes a vassal of Ser Bronn of the Blackwater, the new overload of Highgarden. House Tarly was originally a vassal of Highgarden, until old Tarly betrayed the Tyrells and joined the Lannisters.

Even if Samwell was the head of the House (he isn't; his sister is), his wouldn't be considered a great noble house. He would be one of one hundred other noble houses that serve as vassals, like the Karstarks, Dondarrions or Freys.

Jon Snow was never recognized as the King of the North by the Seven Kingdoms.

YOu can pretty much call Disneyworld the modern day White World. I never have seen so many white people in one place ever. Very few people of color there. Very few even work there.
