I always enjoyed when he was a guest in M & P. But, the fit with them made for a choppy interview. Too high energy, constant interjecting of hosts insight, too much my-guy shit.
It was really good baseball talk on Friday's W & S. What he says isn't gospel. But, it's insight from a guy who's been there. He's experienced a lot of what the Cubs are going through now. And he talks about remedies that worked for him, teammates, and the team. Each time W& S asked a question he had the floor with no interruptions. Then, he could give a thorough answer without the hosts changing the topic mid answer. W & S aren't tied to the hip with the Cubs either.
He gave some good insight into Edwards, jorneyman pichers becoming quality pitchers, how he had success, how smart players adjust, hot-cold streaks.
