watched half of it and turned it off. reminded me why i never got into the series.

Fun to see the old gang back together again. It was just ok for me. Kinda nice to wrap things up officially but after seeing it I would have been fine leaving the end to our own imaginations.

The aging comes into every scene and it's distracting, like most reunion shows. Like Trixie having a baby. She what? 50?

The life span in 1900 was probably 50, the movie sucked.

Best part of the movie was recognizing Skylar White. Before she was Walt's wife, she was Bullock's wife. I never realized it.

Finally watched it tonight. It was good, not great. Nice to see the old players. I thought the first third or so tried way too hard with the disjointed dialogue, but then the main plot brought things into focus.

All in all, I’m glad they did it.

would've loved a last minute opportunity for titus welliver as Adams. A scene at the end as Bullock is dragging Hearst to jail, maybe right after the "I hope you die in street like my daddy"

...Adams comes riding into camp after completing some random job elsewhere that has kept him away for the entire time. Comes strolling up to Dan and asks him "what'd I miss?" to which Dan surely replies "Fuckin' Adams. Don't expect me to be retelling no tales cuz you aint got the sense or a fuckin' time piece to finish an errand quick."

Just started this last night. 2 episodes in...

Just finished the series over the weekend. Have yet to watch the movie.

Overall, it was very good. Knowing it would end after 3 years and abruptly at that definitely impacted my viewing to an extent, but it was still very enjoyable.

Ian McShane as Swearengen was the obvious standout. The dialogue throughout the series definitely took some getting used to. Dense and rapid fire but awesome.

The finale of season 1 and first episode of season 2 was excellent. But overall, I thought season 2 started to drag a bit. Certain characters were clearly introduced just to drive the plot, which is how story telling goes, but at times it just felt contrived.

Overall, I think the relatively short run puts it behind Shows like Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and even GOT, but it’s still a top 10 show for me.

I figured it out! Olyphant is a not hot version of Josh Duhamel.

As everyone knows, WZ is my enemy on this board, but I have to agree. Even by the end of the second season, I was tiring on the dialogue--it was too self-consciously stylish and smart--and it became more about palace intrigue than a plot driven by exceptional circumstances and robust personalities.

They also didn't develop Sol and didn't develop Bullock as much as they could have. I have a bunch of reasons why I think they took the easy way out with the character of Swearengen, but I don't think anyone cares. Also, it would have been cool to have a peek inside Wu and the Chinese, and Hostetler arrived and departed too quickly.

The first few episodes, in which the plot just rose out of nothing, like the best thrillers, were among the best stories I have ever seen or read.

(I was sick last week and binge-watched it. Ugh. Never again. I can't stand not moving around.)

I've said all along that the show went to crap during season 2. Season 3 was a disgrace. Didn't watch the movie cause I'm not an idiot.
