Amash is definitely one of the few good memebers of Congress.

You would probably like Trump not as the president but as a friend.

I have a friend or two like him. If you have enough guys around him to give regular reality checks they can be fun additions to the group.

No I would not like him as a friend. He's just the sort of person I hate all the time.

I thought about it and one friend jumped out at me. An absolutely amazing liar whose llies were a constant stream of amusement in our early twenties. But it got old quickly and especially in mixed company.

People are either unaware of his manufacturing ties in China, or they believe the Russian Collusion theory too. :P

No boot licking here, don't PROJECT. Just pointing out some facts.

You being uncomfortable with those says more about you than it does about SOMEGUY.

Justin "Thrall of China" Amash says what you want to hear, see you clap like a trained seal. But you ignore the reasons for him saying it.

Received free tickets from work last year and took my daughter.

We left after the 3rd quarter. Bulls where down double digits against the Nets.

Best thing about the game was Coolie's live performance of Gangster's Paradise.

Let that sink in for a second.

Yeah but you don’t strike me as much of a basketball fan.

Fans who attend basketball games played by loser franchises like Chicago deserve to be criticized. They are complicit in the overall failure of the franchise. The minute owners and VPs of Business Operations see a clear link between performance and profit the sooner they'll commit to investing in a quality product. But when they see a bunch of FavreFans in attendence everyday because of "love of the game" regardless of the team's performance then they have no incentive to change things up. Chicago needs smarter fans.

I’ve attended one game the last 4 years and it was a free ticket from IMU. You have failed massively with this post. Congratulations

So he'd be fine with no revenue at all from in-park attendance, concessions, parking, etc , for 81 games a year? Plus declining TV viewership, sponsorships, etc?

That was in 2015 when they were still sort of competitive. In that case you are a bad fan because you should have bought the ticket to support a competitive team. For shame.

I was the poor fan being priced out of games in 2015. For shame on society.

I am talking about the WS - that's why I mentioned 81 games. You do realize there are 81 home games in a MLB season, right?

Read up Pippen contract negotiations during that run. Assuming you dismiss that, yes he paid up for the most dominant, most marketable team in sports in the last 30 years. In the last 20 years, name a single thing he’s done that counters the idea that he’s a cheap, shitty owner who values profit motive above all else. I’ll wait.

Everyone, including Reinsdorf advised Pippen against that contract. It was a great deal for the first two years, but crap thereafter. But iirc, the demands of Pippen's family and his own insecurities had him desperate for the bad contract. In any event, any shortfall Pippen suffered then, Reinsdorf helped him make up for on the sign and trade that did absolutely nothing for the Bulls.

IIRC, Pippen had back surgery early in his career and that scared him to the point that he pushed for the security of a long term contract - despite being advised against it.

On a recent Buster Olney podcast the trivia question they asked the assembled panel of knowledgeable mlb watchers:

which of these teams has lost the most games in the last decade:

A. Marlins
B. Padres
C. Rockies
D. White Sox

Buster, his stats girl and the guest each selected either Marlins or Padres.

White Sox was the correct answer.

The correct answer to that same who was the worst team in MLB over the last decade question before the first pitch of the 2017 season: Houston.
