A young Beni always read what saved the red was the huge shipments of war material the US sent that did turn the tide of war on the Eastern front. No idea if that was Western media pumping the US tires or a fact.

I knew a few heroic motherfuckers in the army but I can’t imagine the balls it’d take to storm that beach.

Not the fashionable thing to say but oh so true.

The Invasion of Normandy brought a quicker end to the war and prevented Germany from using France's resources. It also prevented communist expansion into Western Europe. While the Russians destroyed the bulk of the German army, that doesn't take away from the Allied's victory. Its importance can't be understated or diminished for the US or for Europe. Thousands died valiantly as true heros. Few days in history as significant and it should always be remembered. This may not be a fashionable thing for me to say but oh so true.

He might be right about Stalingrad and the tank battle turning the tide in the Ostkrieg, but a) we're talking Western Europe, baby, and b) go wait in line for five-day-old bread at the local CCCA&P, ya backwards moron.

Edit: Seriously, you guys win one war in 300 years (well, apart from the Napoleon thing) and it takes you 27 million men to do so. Stay in your lane. We're like 11-1-1, which is good enough to get us into the National Championship Game. And no, we ain't sellin' Alaska back.

CCCA&P, that's really good.

But yeah, I don't see the point in arguing D-Day and Stalingrad, especially not today.

Yeah, it's similar to when that goof Neil deGrasse Tyson tweeted, "Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates Christmas and to everyone else Happy Thursday." It's just an unnecessary act of assholery. It doesn't offend me. You're just an asshole.
