Because lines. I hate lines. It's a freaking zoo in the parking lot at Costco plus inside Costco itself whenever I go. Got grown adults trying to cut you off with their shopping cart so they can grab the 98-pack Hunt's Ketchup bottles off the shelf when there's still like...500 left in stock. Hate it.

When Google Express first started their pricing model was sweet: you pay the same price you pay in store for whatever you want from a range of stores, including Costco, Target, Whole Foods (before Amazon), etc., then you pay nominal delivery fee. I think mine was like 5-10 bucks per order and I only ordered like once a month. Ran some numbers and it either cost less than or as much as going to the store after factoring in gas. Then there was the convenience. I stopped doing it after they changed the pricing model.

When I left they included an upcharge on the items you bought online plus either a delivery or subscription fee. That's when I decided the convenience wasn't worth the cost. Now I'm back to being subject to shopping cart rage and long ass lines at Costco.

Just go buy your food. Jesus Christ. Nobody is asking you to fucking grow it. Have some semblance of connection with it. Everybody is Louis the fucking XIV all of the sudden.

I enjoy it for the most part

The only part that drives me to rage is the deli
I try to be courteous and park my cart away from it but there's always some asshole that parks their cart directly in front of the cases, parallel to them to take up the maximum amount of room

There is no place on civilized Earth with poorer etiquette than a grocery store. I mean, other than a playground.

I even kinda enjoy it as long as I’m not dragging the kids with me. Definitely don’t mind it.

Agreed. It's a pain when the kids are with you but overall it's nice.

Interesting that Wal-Mart expands their home delivery right after the USDA announces an expansion of the use of SNAP bennies for ordering foodstuffs online. Apparently food stamp recipients can even use their benefits to order from those Fresh Direct and Blue Waffle meal delivery services you hear advertised on podcasts; in addition to using food stamps to get groceries delivered from Wal-Mart/Target/Meijer/et al.

Blue Waffle is a terrible name for a food service.
