The scrimmage had no competitive value...to the high school kids. They probably saw it as an opportunity to play elbow football.

Take the all stars of any other league and play them against 15 year olds. What is the score?

Baseball all stars just fucking around playing a scrimmage against 15 year olds would most likely result in a no hitter and name your score on offense. Football it wouldn't even be legal. Basketball would probably be the most competitive game and it would still be a 50+ point difference. This is just with them messing around.

How many times have we heard "alabama v. the worst NFL team" and reached the conclusion that everyone on that NFL team was once an alabama starter level college player.
