There probably is already a thread about this. I have some friends with kids who wanna see a Sox game. What's the best/most economical way to score tickets in a decent place in the park? Is it Ticketmaster? They are looking to pay no more than 25/person for a day game. Opponent doesn't matter.

There are always discount codes for crazy groups. You can say you are part of the Leatherworkers of America, and they will give you tickets in the outfield for 9$ a piece, or on the outer outfield areas for $19. Just google for "discount codes chicago white sox" and you will find something.

Ticketmaster. You can get a bleacher seat or upper deck one for $25.

Sunday games are the best experience for a family.

Prices don't really change on Ticketmaster, I would check out StubHub.

Can I do stubhub a few hours before the game?

My son does that to go to games and gets upper deck seats in SF for like $5. Then works his way down.

Does the same thing work at Sox Park? Like say 2 hours before the game, if I stub hub it will upper deck seats be like $5?

The Mets game i'm planning to go to I am thinking wont' be sold out as it's on a Wednesday. So maybe just do the stubhub thing and get it really cheap.

You'll get good seats for that day.

I only did it once but seatgeek was 50 percent less than what the Sox or StubHub had for a Sunday game.

Stubhub stops selling online two hours before first pitch.

Ticketmaster? Are u nuts?

You simply walk up to the box office and buy tickets. Simple. No fees and can still find good seats on gameday.

Dont listen to all the other BS. Fuck Seatgeek.

It's worth putting some alerts on StubHub. I went twice last year, once I splurged on Gold Box seats because I was taking my dad and the seller included a free Lot B parking pass. The other time I paid $11 for section 110, and took the Pace Bus out to Burr Ridge after the game and was the only rider.

Gonna stand by this thread, bitches. Buying tickets to a game is not like buying tickets to a movie. Couldn't be any more different. On the net there are good deals and bad deals for the same general seats: there are insane fees, decent fees, and no fees. What I wanted to know is are some sites better/cheaper than others, or is the net just not worth it and instead you should buy tickets in person. And if you buy them in person then that's a totally different environment when it comes to getting a good deal. I cared about the deal. If I didn't care about the deal then I'd just buy tickets straight off the Sox website.

I'm sorry you're poor. Maybe try a Chicago Dogs game?

You should jump in front of a moving Pace bus.

So on the WS website I see tickets for $6!

They're way up in the upper deck corner on the first base side.

If I buy these and say the park is not crowded, and I want to go down to the lower deck or outfield seats, will Andy Frain stop me and make me go back up to the upper deck or they don't care if it's not a sell out?

Throw yourself off the upper deck for a better view.

they will stop u for sure. It's one of the few things the Sox REALLY enforce hard.

But, that being said, you can move around the Upper Deck freely. And they are not $6, they are more like $9 or some shit after tax.
