My biggest problem with Garland is it feels to me like he ascended up the draft boards compared to where he was recruited in high school simply because his early season injury prevented his limitations from being exposed the way they were for most of the guys he passed up. This feels like another instance of teams and fans convincing themselves to fall in love with a guy in spite of the fact that the consensus was this was a pretty shallow draft.

Honestly I think I might like Hunter the most of the guys in the range where the Bulls are drafting, but he's probably the least useful to them. I'll also gladly count myself on the anti-Reddish bandwagon, though I just saw Mayberry unfortunately has the Bulls taking him.

Against Reddish as well. Not sure on Hunter but I think he’s more Jae Crowder than Kawhi.

Your concerns about Garland are fair but I feel like everyone outside of Zion has similar fair questions about them. Garland looks like a smooth shooter and ball handler. If he hits you have a piece to compete with the deepest position in the league.

K.C. Johnson said today on Mully & Haugh that the Bulls "want nothing to do with Reddish".

He also predicted that Garland will be drafted by the time the Bulls pick, possibly going as high as #3.

Reports came out last night that it's a lock the Knicks are taking Barrett at 3, which, if true, would almost guarantee White or Garland being there at 7.

Rookie PG and the idiot head coach. Should be a great combo.

You think Garland could drop to 7? It doesn't seem possible.

If the Knicks don't take him, I don't see the Pelicans or Cavs taking him, so that means Garland and White would go 6 and 7, and Phoenix reportedly likes White more than Garland.

Also, the Atlanta Hawks are trying like hell to trade into the top 5, and they presumably wouldn't take him either.

Are those guys the best players available at that spot or are the bulls foolishly focusing on position rather than talent?

Should line up nicely where the BPA is a PG and they REALLY need a PG. It's not foolish to focus on that.

Seems to be a lot of bad mouthing Reddish.

I'm not buying it. I'm not buying the fake stats about finishing, I'm not buying the Bulls are disgusted by him. I think Atlanta wants him, I think the Bulls want him, probably some more want him.

Quote:
One potential trade partner could be Indiana. As our own Kevin O’Connor reported on Tuesday, the Pacers have discussed a trade with the Pelicans for the no. 4 pick. While no names were explicitly mentioned, there is one clear target the Pelicans should covet: Myles Turner, who last season led the league in blocks per game and attempted 2.6 3-pointers per game at a 38.8 percent clip. Pairing Zion Williamson with a floor-spacing rim protector would help cover up some of Zion’s immediate NBA-level deficiencies while also giving him wide-open lanes down low to put his tank-like body to good use.

Hopefully this doesn't happen.

Yeah, I know. I'm out over my skis but I'm sticking to my theory. I think Reddish is way underrated and I think there's some teams playing up that he sucks.

He's clearly a top 5 talent in the draft but I believe those Andrew Wiggins vibes he sends out are real. I want no part of him. The worst part about him as a prospect is that he probably will play well enough in his first 3 years to get a Wiggins-esque extension that sinks the franchise for 5 years.

Honest question: When has the 'third guy' on a strong college team ever turned out to be a great draft pick? Usually the guys seem to be propped up by their star teammates.

Corey Brewer
Sheldon Williams
Brandon Rush

Chris Duhon was the best of these third wheels I can think of, and he was a second round pick. Actually looking at that roster, he was probably their fourth guy.

Jalen Rose proposes the Bulls send the 7 pick and LaVine to the Pelicans for the 4 and Lonzo.

Why would the Bulls do that? They would move up to the 4 to get Garland....but then why would you need Lonzo and Garland?

Ball plays defense, passes and rebounds.

Garland does not play defense, and looks to score as his 1st and 2nd options.

You aren't alone. I've thought that about Reddish since the Gonzaga game in November.

I don't know why New Orleans would want LaVine.

People are WAY, WAY too concerned about a PG. The world is overflowing with PGs. Grab Reddish.

To hear it told, every team was trying to move up to grab Garland. Based solely based on his play in hs showcases.

He shot less than 36% from the field...not 3 pt but THE FIELD. And that’s as the 3rd option. He wasn’t being double teamed.

If Cleveland takes Garland White won’t be there at 7.
