Dach

Higher upside.

Knowing the Hawks, they'll take Bowen Byram because you can't have too many defencemen, apparently.

I'm going to wait until Curious Hair gives his opinion because I have none, other than the Blackhawks should draft the least rapey/beaty guy cuz uhhh you know. Values.

Turcotte.

Needs to replace Toews. Who knows if last year was a dead cat bounce.

I think I would be fine with either guy.

But they will probably take Byram

If you go Dach, you better be trading back a couple spots.

I'm not convinced there is any difference in prospect quality from 3-6 or so. If Dach is your guy (I say he is), get your guy. The Hawks could use the size.

One of my big concerns with Turcotte is that he's undersized for a center.

Agreed. Even if he ends up a solid wing...I'm not trying to build around a wing when there could be a difference making center right there for you.

Of course, if the Hawks had #2...go get Kakko of course.

Yeah.

You have to have an heir apparent to Toews now, and I get the feeling that Dach is the best option at 3.

Of course the dumb fucks will wind up drafting Byram because, Hawks, and he'll just be the next Cam Russell.

Excellent. I'm happy with both the Bulls and Hawks picks. Unheard of...

I would love to see him in the lineup this year, but my guess is not.

Dach needs to hit the gym. Hope it works out, this 3-6 blob who knows (the Yzerman pick was interesting)

Rewatched Stan's interview after the pick. Sounds like AA is going bye bye and Dach is probably your #3 Center next year.

What from that interview made you think AA is gone? Maybe I watched a different interview...

Well, if Toews/Strome/Dach/AA/Kampf are centers, Doubt they have Dach on the checking line and I doubt you have a 4th line center at a cap hit of $4.5M.

Dach is fine. Hawks have a good drafting record so I trust their judgment. Maybe they could backed up a couple spots to #5 and gotten another asset. What the fuck was Yzerman doing? Definitely could have traded down and gotten Seider.

I was hoping Byram, but Dach seems solid. I just hope he's better than Kevin Hayes.

No one wanted to trade up, in any case.

I didn’t hear the interview but this was in the Tribune today...If Dach is ready to make the leap, the Hawks should have an opening for him as the third-line center behind Jonathan Toews and Dylan Strome if Artem Anisimov is traded as expected.

Was hoping for Turcotte just cause I used go to his grandpa and dad's famous summer stick handling camp when I was a kid. Really great family.
