Has any other White Sox fan complained about how often the team wears the black jerseys ? I myself, am quite sick of looking at these atrocities. If they were wearing these to play in a Sunday slo-pitch beer league they'd fit in nicely. Maybe I've become the "old get off my lawn guy" ,but the home whites and the road grays are top flight. Wear them please !!!! While you're in Boston, ask Chris Sale if he could pop in some day and do to '83 double knits what he did to the Veeck jammies.

Outside of the ‘83 it’s their best uniform. Bad take.

Unless there is a throwback uniform or a double header scheduled, generally the starting pitcher gets to choose what top to wear.

Of all the things the White Sox do, the color top they wear is about 2,469th on the list things to complain about.

The black jersey is among the better alternate uniforms, which are mostly bad, but I'm partial to the home whites.

There’s not really a question that the Sox black uniforms are among the best in sports.

I don't really like the pinstripe uniform. Too much like the Yankees.

Really? I think it's the one people associate the least with the Sox. If you tell me to imagine Frank Thomas, he's either in the black or the white. I do like it, though.

Fuck these guys Jackin. The suburbanites like the 12" softball uniforms because it is what they are used to. The grays are a good looking uniform.

It's a matter of taste. I happen to like the navy colored ones with the collar from the 70s.

I liked their Sunday uniform idea where they wear a throwback. Unfortunately they seem to be stuck in the 80s. There were some really good looking ones from before the 70s.

My favorite Sox logo is the one with the big S with the o and x in the S loops. It has been used several different ways but each is cool. I wouldn't mind if the Sox tweaked the hats with this and matched them with the current pinstripe uniforms.

That's a good one. I think they could have done a modernized version of that in 1990 and made it work, too. But:

Those were the softballiest uniforms ever, though.

Their road grey jerseys are outstanding and the script Chicago is classic; remiscent of the script Chicago on the Bulls' road jerseys from 73-85.

IMO the black softball jerseys, as all other MLB jerseys of that style, are terrible.

I like the 68 throwbacks:

and the pinstripe vests they wore around 06

Yeah, those were hideous then and hideous now. No excuse for wearing them more than once every five years.

Blue is my favorite color so I am a little biased once that is introduced, but that really looks terrific.

That's such a bad take I don't even know how to respond. They are on the short list for best jerseys in sports

Agreed, but it's telling how no one was clamoring for their return after they were tossed out in the 80's.

I hated those uniforms. It looks like there's a license plate on the front.

Now they're retro, nostalgic, and vintage. I remember St. Rita copied those uniforms a year or two after the White Sox introduced them.

When I was at Gordon the baseball team wore uniforms based on the Astros rainbow. Just terrible.

Yeah (although the nostalgia part wears off for me after memories of Eddie Murray's line shot and no run support for a brilliant Britt Burns arise). But still profitable.

You could consider yourself lucky. When I was a Kenwood our highly ranked track team went part of one season with exactly seven uniforms. And the football team was wearing uniforms from another school, with different colors no less.

The football team didn't even deserve those imo.

I tend to agree. It's curious how they get stuck on one throwback jersey to the exclusion of the others. Why not bring back the cap with the cursive "C" from the late 80's/early 90's?

People forget how much different sports wear was in our youth. Kids now have jerseys with their name on it from the time they make a team in grade school. I finally got one in varsity because the Taylor Street coach found some stash that fell off a truck. They were red even though our colors were maroon and gold. I'm sure he made a profit somewhere on those.

The JV uniforms were some kind of hand me down from the 70s. They looked like clown costumes. I wouldn't even wear it on the el home.

The hat was sweet though. Loved that thing. I wish I had bought 10 of them to wear in the future. They changed it around and it looks cheap.

Funny, my complaint was that the Rockies and Marlins looked too much like the White Sox.

I like the black jerseys, but the full grey road unis are just awesome.

'88-'90 are my favorite uniforms--and favorite hat. That's mostly nostalgia speaking, though.
