If this was not a double header, I would be confident he stays up. Watch him get sent down after the game.

I think the super 2 mark has been passed so they save on arbitration.

Doesn't matter. There will be a new collective bargaining in 2 years and there will be little resemblance to the system now. That's why last year keeping Eloy down was ridiculous. It was truly a wasted year.

Unlikely. Players union is weak and will fold to what the owners want. It is what always happens in all sports.

Doesn't he have a 4.48 ERA this season with high K numbers? Not sure if that sounds like he's ready, but hopefully the Sox aren't rushing him.

We shall see. It's coming up quick. I'm 99% sure 6 years before FA will not fly and there WILL be a strike if it's not addressed.

Hope the kid does well vs the Tigers but don't rush him and fuck him up like they did Kopech.

I'll be at the Saturday game. Would have been cool to see Cease then.

Sox went down to a 3 man starting rotation so Cease is going Saturday. Hahn shot down the idea of going to a 2 man.

This will get interesting. Any kind of a work stoppage will be bad for either side i don't think either will recover well from it. If the players union really wants to do something about rookies and service time, they'll have to give up something in terms of veterans and FA signings.

I don't think a work stoppage really matters anymore. The NBA was fine and the NHL actually raised ticket prices after their latest one. 1994 was a long time ago.

The Yankees, Red Sox, and Cubs will be fine.....there's 27 other teams that will not be fine. NHL and NBA not a valid comparison.

A work stoppage will end very badly...and they all know it.

Just as the White Sox are primed to win a World Series they do another work stoppage.

Keep in mind minor leaguers are not in the players union yet. Does half of the MLBPA want to go to bat for future stars or do they want them to get nothing while they fight for free agent dollars. They got the the current situation by fucking the kids. The system was great for the players until the owners realized a 15 million dollar a year bum can be replaced by a 500k a year bum.

Great bounce-back inning. His stuff is filthy, just needs to work on control as all young pitchers do
