Really? 1-4 with a home run and a sac fly for 3 RBIs ain't a bad day to me. He also made a couple of nice plays in the outfield. Sounds like a Cubbie fan can't take the fact that the White-Sox made a great trade. 15 jacks in a little over 200 ABs is damn encouraging as far as i'm concerned.

I think that Lopez will turn things around and maybe the All-Star break is going to come at a good time for him to start that turn-around. I think that his problem is that he is not staying behind the ball, especially on his breaking pitch, the slider. Sometimes, that is stress related in which the pitcher hurries his motion going forward and overthrows the pitch.

To me, his slider is the key pitch in his repertoire and that he basically needs to work backwards and find his release point. Cooper knows this, I think, and it should be very solvable. When he has had his good games, it has been his slider that was his wipe-out pitch but when he becomes basically a two pitch pitcher, he gets hit. His fastball and change-up are good pitches but good hitters will ignore his breaking stuff and sit on the FB and Change and that is what happening now.
