I think Q has a little Darvish in him; no mental fortitude. When he played for the Sox they sucked so he had no pressure.

Except in September 2017, Quintana pitched to a 2.51 ERA in 5 starts, and the Cubs went 5-0 in those games. This helped the Cubs pull away from the Brewers.

In September 2018, while the entire Cubs team was imploding, Quintana pitched to a 3.24 ERA in 6 starts, including going 2-1 against the Brewers. His one loss to the Brewers? Game 163, in which he gave up only one run. Again, his team imploded and the offense vanished.

Quintana's best games for the Cubs have been in the higher leverage games. The criticism should be that he sometimes gets beat by lesser teams in the middle of the season.

Dynasty is far from over. Still in line to make the playoffs this year and MANY years to come.

Unlike the Sox, the Cubs have an owner who will spend the money it takes to win.

i'm not a blind cubs fan. theo fucked up big time in this trade. just admit it cub fans.

window - it's still open. it's just that theo doesnt get the right guys to go all the way. they needed a legit leadoff hitter the last 3 years. theo got nobody. billy hamilton was out there begging to sign but the wallet was closed. he would have been cheap too. theo fucked up with the Q trade, chatwood, darvish, and the morrow signings.

If ricketts opens up the wallet for Theo, the window has 2 years left to get back to the WS.

So who are the Cubs targeting this offseason? They weren't involved with the big names last offseason.
