What a sad end to what could have been an amazing career. Back in the early 2000s I thought for sure he would be going national.

Now he is doing weird videos for people for 20 bucks, looks like he is 80, and retweets and makes the dumbest comments.

Does anyone honestly listen to the show anymore? I used to back in the early 2000's in my office have the radio on 2-3 hours.

Maybe sad is not the best word, guy is not a good person, so I guess Karma got him.

I listen to the show whenever I'm in the car from 9:00 to 12:00. Bernstein is not as confrontational as he used to be, but he's still capable of coming up with some original sports thoughts. Which is more than you can say about Mulligan, Haugh, McKnight, Ostrowski, and just about everyone on ESPN 1000. If they paired him with someone who actually would push back on him like Spiegel, Mac, or Parkins, I think it would be an excellent show.

Very good points made. I agree that it is not fair to pair Bernstein with McnKinght. It is more him than Dan on why I just cannot bring myself to listen.

Just have zero interest. I just think the chemistry and talent at the score is probably the lowest it has been in a long time. In my opinion the two greatest shows in the history of the Score was B&B in its heyday and OB& Doug after Bear games.

While I found Dan's over the top schtick of calling callers idiots, etc, stupid, the show was funny and very quick witted.

OB& Doug were therapy after a Bears loss when you just needed to be a meatball and vent.


The one I got wrong on was Parkins. I thought he was going to break out. I stopped listening to him and Mac. He became predictable and boring. Has a great radio voice, but the content and millennial know it all/smug hipster/pothead thing just ran its course.

Parkins like to rant about crusty old white men, the "get off my lawn" types, especially when it comes to baseball. But Parkins is by far one of the biggest whiners I have heard.
