This is better for Giolito. Now he wont have to start the All Star game...where he would face Cubs. He can pitch later in the game when the Cubs maybe out of the lineup.

There really isn't a frontrunner to win the Cy so whoever finishes the strongest over the remainder of the year will likely win. Giolitto would have to clearly perform better than pitchers on the contending teams in order to win it.
