Saw this today with our son. We both gave it 8 out of 10. I'm not a comic book movie aficionado but I thought it was very entertaining. Gyllenhaal was good.

Chaperoned a field trip for son's summer camp. And Summer Camps.

They were supposed to see Toy Story 4 but it ended up being Spiderman instead.

Enjoyed it a lot. Ties up Phase 3 and the post credits stuff sets up Phase 4 nicely.

went to see this w/ my lady friend today.

not into superhero movies. dont know any history about this series.

we sat near a 8 year old. He was kind enough to explain the inside things to me. still no idea what most of what he was saying but seemed the kids are really into this story.

Always liked spiderman. thought it was a fun movie. very teen oriented themes.

Some interesting insights :

1.When I watched superhero movies in my day, EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE was White Glad to see a lot of minorities represented in this movie. Hollywood seems to be finally coming around. At the same time I was thinking this, I realized how much life has passed me by.

2.I liked the teen theme. It's like they took your typical teen movie from the 60s/70s and just updated to contemporary times.

I will like to go see more movies like this.

ya we saw the ending end. we were walking out but the kid said to stay because they always have more to the movie after the credits.

What is real funny is Paltrow keeps introducing herself to actors she has been in MCU movies for the past 6 years.

mysterio has to be one of the worst villains in this "cineverse". that's the weakest part of the film, which unfortunately takes up most of it. the only parts i thought were enjoyable were the interactions with happy, and the scenes with peter and his pals. the romance story was cute, but overshadowed by so many plot holes and inconsistent logic with the main story (including the nick fury subplot) that it really doesn't work.

this seemed very slapdash for an MCU film. it's like "endgame" broke their brains.
